I really appreciate that now I can go from my standing desk, to the conference room, then back to my standing desk, in a state of continuous distraction. What office-based positive associations will he create next? How the Bear plays at being polite is so much fun; talking to Doug, to the librarian, to Renee and Barb, the pizza/salad/office party nonsense, how he answered the Brat’s phone when she was indisposed. You have to think they know something is up (the office mates after seeing the Brat walk back from the conference room, the librarian greeting them, watching them, then being invited to participate), but that ‘I’m probably messing with you, but you’d have to do a full-force callout to prove it,’ tone is just wonderful. We’ve established that our Brat can multitask! And “no, I’m not going to do math right now, I can’t do math right now,” makes it sound like the Bear can’t. That could be all kinds of fun.
