If you risked insulting the person who brought the deviled eggs by not trying them–I think you’d insult them more if they saw your face as you tried to eat it. ADHD type pokemon should totally be a thing, and the idea of you evolving back into pikachu is giving my Uncle Iroh vibes. Young you would never be magikarp though, the stories prove you did way more than flop around. The dinosaur walking down 905 sounds like a commentary on infrastructure, particularly if he’s forced to walk in a bike lane due to lack of other options. I love that a kid you took care of is now educating one of your offspring. I want them to put their heads together for something absurd that proves the influence you had/have over both of them (a ‘they learned it from you’ moment). The fact that Catherine was a Navy brat (you said her dad was at sea) and spoke like that is too perfect, given that sailors are known for using profanity as punctuation. That isn’t a dig, I’m related to several. Fucking fascists indeed. I do love NPR (Nik Public Radio), with pledge week and everything. The real question is if you donate now, do you get a free babka like you do with WQXR (they’re under the WNYC umbrella)? And no, I will not mock you for Evanescence. Your fondness for Elementary's spin on Irene Adler and the Boundless Library’s fondness for a certain gif of Natalie Dormer make an excellent combination. And yes, the books don’t have the most in-depth characters–that’s why having adaptations that are willing to take things in different directions is wonderful. Also the music for the Guy Ritchie films wins. Smirky bear in a pinstripe suit and a pinky ring is wonderful. Please tell me there’s a hat. So the bear can dramatically turn away and put the hat on to indicate something is settled. All those wonderful shadows. There’s a difference between a ‘damsel in distress’ and a damsel who has just been through some shit (possibly even declared glorious massive victory) and is being offered comfort in the aftermath. I’ve only seen you do the latter; which honestly could be considered a commentary on folks who are strong, but are not required to be strong all of the time. I can’t speak to how fantastical Quinn content is–but if that’s where you’re going story-wise that would get me to sign up. “When the weather is lovely, team up on Dad in battle.” Yes, exactly. I feel like they learned their battle tactics from you, and it’s perfect.
