I think your thinking of foreshadowing

Yes and no, she's actually talking about Chekhovs Gun. It's a rule in screenwriting that originally stated that "if you've displayed a gun in the first act of a play, it has to be fired by the third act.", but now it can mean any kind of significant display of any item.

Btw, you might wanna know that this is the movie that, arguably, changes and omits most of the things from the books. Just for a few instances: Barty Crouch Jr. doesn't have a nervous tongue-flicking tic in the books. Also, in the books, it was better explained why Crouch went to Voldemort, and how he escaped Azkaban. For the latter, a few months before the main events of the book and the movie, Barty was visited by his elderly, sickly mother who agreed to take his place in Azkaban while being under the influence of Polyjuice Potion, and died soon after while still assuming her son's identity. For the former, to put it shortly, Crouch Sr. was described as an emotionally distand and cold workaholic, and as twisted as it sounds, Crouch Jr. only had Voldemort to look up to as a fatherly figure. Oh, and my personal favourite: One of Lucius' first lines makes no sense in the context of this universe, and was indeed changed from the book. In the movie, Lucius says that the "if it rains, you (the Weasleys) will be the first to know", implying that the Weasleys had spots highest up on the stands, while as a matter of fact, they had the lowest spots, which makes sense considering the fact that Quidditch is an aerial sport. There is so much more, so I really suggest you read the books as well as the movies.

Harry only has to stay with the Dursley's for a few weeks out of the summer for the protections to remain. Fred and George were going to be turning 17 this school year which is why they were so angry about the new rule imposed by the ministry. It's explained a bit better in the books, it's not the goblet itself that chooses based on age limits imposed - the Triwizard Tournament never had an age restriction in the past - Dumbledore's age line prevented it which is why Dumbledore asked Harry if he'd had an older student put it in for him. The crux here is, that fake Moody used a powerful Confundus charm on the cup so that it would think there were four schools competing and Harry's name was the only entry for that 'school'. Barty Crouch Jr didn't -kill- the Longbottoms, him and Belatrix Lestrange tortured them into madness with the Cruciatus Curse (since I know you've seen that one now lol). In the next one, Harry actually, in the books, goes to St. Mungo's which is a kind of wizarding hospital to visit Mr. Weasley and runs into Neville who is there with her grandmother visiting his parents. They don't even recognize him anymore. Also..the thing they don't really explain in this format - Allistair 'Madeye' Moody, was very well known to be distrustful and paranoid of people poisoning him and so he had a flask that he always drinks from. That is why no one is suspicious of Moody doing that and that played very well into Barty Crouch Jr to impersonate him. He was keeping Moody in that chest so that he had ample supply of his hair to keep making the potion.

I really enjoyed your reactions to the Harry Potter films (first 3) .....as well as other ones too like the Matrix. You picked up on a lot of clues and foreshadowing that totally went over my head when I first watched them. It makes it fun to see what you get right ....or don't. :) Great job!

Funny you say that. Considering that the position (dark arts) is actually cursed by none other than Tom Riddle
