Crabbe and Goyle were Malfoy's cronies in all the books. In real life, the actor playing Crabbe was convicted of drug charges just before filming began for the last two movies. They had to add a new character to replace him. The Malfoys are pompous bigots who became Death Eaters to make sure the "right" wizards ruled society. The parents only turn against Voldemort when it comes to the welfare of Draco. Draco's just not into it enough to kill Harry. Maybe he can be "good" someday, but this is the same kid who threw around "mudblood" and wished for Hermione's death. Bellatrix didn't kill Neville's parents. She used the Cruciatus curse against them until they were driven completely insane.

Harry Potter is still one of my favorite series. I wish we got to see the continuation, but I suppose it might be difficult coming up with another story to match. Also, do you plan on watching the Fantastic Beasts series?

Thanks for the reaction! I really hope you do go through the books because it really is a master class on continuity and being intentional with story and plot points. As for the Malfoys? Say what you will, but they will always be there for each other as best as they can.

As much as the actors did justice to the characters, the movies still lacked vital details. Snape was never supposed to get a redeeming arc. He was always horrible and a bully to Harry in the books because Harry reminded him of his father. However, his eyes are what reminds him of Lily and that's why he demanded Harry look at him. Harry also never heard that from Snape. Lily and Snape were best friends since children. She would be his light because Snape's father was terrible to Snape. The other girl calling Lily a freak was Petunia (the aunt). Lily was never into James in the beginning because of how immature and mean he was. Throughout Hogwarts, Lily tried persuading Snape to stop doing dark arts and to stay away from Death Eaters. Snape would also pick on and be mean to muggle-born kids. Lily tolerated Snape's bad behavior. During their 5th year in Hogwarts, James was bullying Snape and Lily was telling James to stop. Snape was consumed by hate and took out his hatred on Lily by calling her a mudblood. Lily tolerated so much of Snape's negative behavior, but Snape calling her that was the last straw. She ended the friendship after that. She later on married James when he got more mature. There is a deleted scene where Snape gets bullied where Lily tells James to stop, but I believe they didn't include it because they wanted to give Snape a redeeming arc when he was never supposed to have one. Snape was the one who told Voldemort the prophecy. He told Voldemort not to kill Lily and was fine with him killing James and Harry. Voldemort ended up killing Lily since she got in the way. The theme of the movie is mother's love. Even Narcissa's love for Draco. Draco Malfoy was always pressured by his father but he always had his mother's love.

Also, Luna does not end up with Neville. The movie made it look like it. She ends up with Newt Scammander's grandson. His name is Rolf Scammander, which is fitting for Luna
