its almost like they had no plan whatsoever except to copy a new hope only "bigger! and better!". a collection of useless references glued together with soulless action scenes and non sense coincidence driven plot. 20 people on a committee fighting to get their particular identity group represented in a character with no other aspects. imagine having decades of awesome plot and story figured out and ready to go but instead you delete all that and replace it with your cult like political philosophy.

Glad you liked it! im not a big fan of the newest trilogy but too anyone who is, im glad its more star wars to enjoy. Cant wait to see if you dive into more shows like clone wars, rebels, or mandalorian. Lol i started watching during the prequel releases never imagined thered be this much Star Wars content in the world.

I enjoyed it also ... There are a lot who doesn't but I think it has a lot of the same feelings, and of course it isn't excatly the same, years have past. In their universe and in ours. Great villians and heroes.

I greatly enjoyed your reactions for the SW series. Since Lucas had sold SW to Disney and JJ Abrams had taken over, it's not the same, it's partially a reboot to attract new fans, that's why it's such a similar story. Abrams did the same for Star Trek too, not the original, but it's own thing. But it's grown on me over time as I've accepted that it's not Lucas and I can enjoy it now because they are great looking films with a great cast. I hope you are doing reactions for 8 and 9 as well. If you're up for more I highly recommend Rogue One which takes place between Ep 3 and 4 and shows the Rebellion leading to Ep 4. and it also features a strong female lead. I also love Solo even though it didn't do great, because I love getting the back story of Han Solo.
