I always thought it was an interesting question: how much does Isla really know? She’s been floating around and “catching up on lost sex” for ~200 years. When she possesses someone, she strongly feminizes anyone she comes in contact with and knows that sexual pleasure accelerates the process. She’s obviously been around the block with her possessions once or twice. She also knows that the side effects of an initial possession take around a week to reverse, but becomes less and less sure with each successive possession, outright not even knowing for sure if Luca will turn back into a guy at all after the most recent possession. Up until Luca, presumably, people haven’t been able to see or talk to her. This would explain how she knows what one possession does but not the ones following. Once she’s done figuratively and literally fucking with someone, she just moves on to the next because she can’t interact with them anyway. She’s stuck with Luca/s for as long as she has because they’ve been someone she can actually talk to. However, Isla looks quite proud of her handiwork here, even going as far as to goad Luca into trying to push her newfound beauty further. Thinking back, she’s been acting this way around Luca/s since the beginning of the day “you look just like a guy!”, “what cream do you use?”, etc.) Luca has been psychologically shifted by the possessions too. He was pissed at the implication at first, but eventually took up total womanhood willingly and is now ogling herself. I don’t think Luca’s gonna want to go back, and I don’t think she could even if she wanted to. Isla’s possessions clearly only go one way, and while it isn’t confirmed at all, I believe what drove the reversion of Isla’s ghost magic that she’s likely observed would’ve been the normalization of sex hormones. The first possession has always left her male targets’ (Luca, Sam, Jennifer’s dad, etc.) packages intact, which means the natural production of testosterone would eventually neutralize whatever supernatural feminization she’s doing. However, Luca probably crossed a point of no return by having her genitals changed by Isla, something she admitted to not having done before. I suspect that over time, Luca’s body will become less ridiculously voluptuous, but will ultimately remain female. Kinda like how Jennifer’s mom will likely revert back to her pre-possession body. Oh and the simple ghost reflection returns!
