Basically, I'm torn. I kind of want to get back to writing from Devilla's perspective - she is the main character, after all - but right now, other characters just have more to say.

At the moment, I'm thinking of doing the next couple chapters from Feyra's PoV, before shifting back to Devilla and staying there for a while. I wanted to know what other people think - whether you're enjoying the Feyra chapters, or if you'd prefer I just rush back to Devilla.

When I heard we were doing Feyra's PoV again, I wasn't sure what we'd get out of it, since we already know she's scared shitless of Devilla, but I feel like I'd have been confused on why she was so willing to be hostile to someone she's deathly afraid of. So there definitely was a benefit, and I didn't mind having Feyra's PoV. I'd like to go back to Devilla's PoV, but Feyra's is working. So... yeah, don't worry and write what you think fits best.

Best if you write what comes most natural right now. As far as I'm concerned, if chapters are still being published, nothing is set in stone and I'm just reading the first draft. If something turns out not to fit right, just go back and make edits or rewrites. You'll probably want to do that regardless of what anyone says anyway once the story's complete--it's perfectly normal and expected.

The big thing is that they're currently doing Feyra's errands, so Devilla's mostly tagging along - Feyra's the one who actually knows what's up, and can give us information in a natural way over the next couple chapters. (Also, her opinion of Devilla is sloooooowly shifting just a tiny bit. But I'd be happy doing it more sporadically if it was just that.) I do want to switch back to Devilla's PoV as soon as I can - she just doesn't have much to add right now.

I feels more like Feyra is the extra in this errand since Lucy wants to do the quest since no one else can with the monster movement and she wants to help people... as well as wanting to spend time with Devilla, Devilla needs a gathering quest first for the guild... and wants to spend time with Lucy for multiple reasons, and Feyra... is able to help them with this quest because she's the only one that can see mana... as well as wanting to come so Lucy isn't by herself with the possible-demon-queen, in part because if Lucy died after talking to her, the town would blame her. So yeah, they've all got their motivations to do it, but as far as the errand itself, it seems more Lucy>Devilla>Feyra for who wants to do this quest.

PrincessKay

You're correct on that - but I'm referring specifically to the pre-quest errand they're on at this exact moment. Feyra has a couple things she needs to take care of before she can leave with Devilla and Lucy, and Devilla is along for the ride while trying to get along.

I guess what I wanted was more time with Devilla and Lucy to get closer, but I'm not sure I'll get that as much with Feyra being there. It seems like this is more of an opportunity for Feyra and Devilla to get closer--being the demon queen and the supposed "cursed by the demon queen" with a gift of seeing mana and seeing mana being required for the gathering. Maybe Devilla will be able to convince her to call the Heroine "Lucy". I mean, it's pretty silly to upset the person who has "the right to judge them for their sins" by never calling them their name, right? It'd probably help hearing Devilla constantly refer to her as Lucy instead of "the Heroine." I'm assuming there's also going to be a fight with whatever big thing makes the forest movement happen (and why it is a regular occurrence) and while Lucy knows Devilla would help fight, Feyra keeps thinking she's going to backstab them or something. So I'm guessing Feyra could be surprisingly protected and be like "oh. huh. unexpected." at the least. IDK~ I'm just throwing out ideas and my thoughts! Anyway, it seems like this upcoming section is heavily focused on Feyra's interactions with Devilla and Lucy, and it makes sense if her PoV keeps being used.

PrincessKay

Well, without giving too much away, while Feyra definitely has a role to play Devilla and Lucy will certainly have time to grow closer as well.

I am team feyra and team team do what ever you want at the same time.

One piece of advice I've often heard for writing has been "write about the most interesting part of whatever your story is." And I think that same principle applies to PoV for a story with multiple PoV characters. Choose whomever you feel will be the most interesting person to see something through their eyes for any given scene. Your intuition as a writer has served you well thus far: trust it and the characters to tell you who needs tell any given part of the story.

Also, I'm wondering if Feyra has fully picked up on the fact that Eena has been actively defending Lucy, even when the heroine isn't present. I realize that she's scared shirtless, and thus probably part of the reason her mouth has gone into default mode (which is snark for her), but ... yeah, someone planning to just murder the heroine wouldn't normally seem so vehement in speaking up for her, especially when it seemingly wouldn't gain her anything to do so. Just ... interested in seeing how long (if ever) it'll take Feyra to put that little bit together.
