Not sure how many of you will actually care about my new pet, but I've decided to abuse my powers as a creator to deliver these pictures to you anyways. Don't worry, I won't overload you with them in the future! (Don't be surprised if future posts come with an obligatory Autumn pic though :p )

That is one little baby cutie! What made you decide on going with a reptile for a pet rather than something more conventional?

Initially? It was process of elimination. My roommate has a dog that doesn't like other dogs, and cats are... kinda unpredictable when it comes to deciding whose human they are. Like, the roommate also has a cat that's pretty much perfect in every way shape and form, from her love of cuddling to the fact that she comes to comfort me when I'm upset, And yet, at the end of the day, it's my roommate they prefer. Plus, cats are pretty independent. I kinda wanted to take care of an animal, and build a bond with them over time... and, well, bearded dragons are known for bonding with their humans, so... Yeah. Also, I have fond memories of interacting with a bearded dragon as a kid, so there's some sentimentality at play,

Thanks for answering, I used to run a reptile rescue and took in a lot of unwanted pets, most reptiles don't make good pets but bearded dragons certainly do, they are smarter than most people would assume and they can recognize individuals and form relationships. Anyway I'm blathering on, I'm happy Autumn found a caring home, and you have a new friend.

Yeah, I found that out first - and have done a ton more research since. I want to give this little one the best home I can. (unfortunately, I continue to fall into pitfalls and then have to climb out of them, but I'm working on perfecting her tank and it's just about done... Just. Have a lot of returns to make for Amazon...)

Bearded dragons one of the best pets ever. Son had one that went on road trips with him and us. Sat on his shoulder and enjoyed the trip...
