I wanted to draw something like this for a while now *v* As of lately, drawing long hair doesn't give me as much trouble as it used to. I think it has to do with my increasing line confidence and quality. I actually quite enjoy doing long strokes now! As a result, I came to appreciate Mero's long hair more.

At some point we really thought of giving him short hair when he enters high school, but as of now, we scrapped this thought entirely and embrace them instead. (I even let my own hair grow longer now as i kinda started to like it on me more than all the shorter cuts I had in the past xD this way my little waves are more visible and i find those so cute qwq)

And that's also what I thought is happening here. Maybe Mero had some insecurities about his hair but Mono says something to encourage him and does this little gesture. 😌

So yeah no hair cuts are happening for Mero. The only thing he will do is trying mutiple hairstyles, updos and so on :D you can do quite a lot with long hair. (Too bad the only thing I'm capable of is a plain ponytail lmao)

However, I fought a lot with Mono's hair again xD getting his spiky hair to look right is always a hassle xD Shading also needed multiple tries this time - somehow everything looked weird. I think, the late afternoon scene of chapter 23 with the elaborate lightsource damaged me a little 8D

But eventually I somehow managed to turn things around. Phew xD

For the next extra id love to do some little 'spicy' short comic again considering spooky season 👀 but I might really have to let things be rough this time because the bunkasai chapter is going to be time consuming and the current schedule doesn't allow too many longterm side quests 8D

(Mmh.. maybe I could try to draw just a little every now and then... while working on the regular pages 🤔.... but first we have to decide on what kinda scene it will be uwu)
