Island Adventures Work in Progress (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

I've been working hard on the next update, and I wanted to share a bit of the progress with you.

Over the past few weeks, I've been revisiting all four existing routes in the game, making a lot of adjustments to improve the story flow, character interactions, and overall logic. My goal is to make every route feel more natural, coherent, and immersive.

On the technical side, I've converted every image in the game from PNG to WebP. This has significantly reduced the game's file size while maintaining excellent visual quality.

Another major improvement is the animation system. Instead of using dozens of image frames in Ren'Py to create animations, I'm now using WebM videos. This means I no longer need 20 to 50 individual frames for each animation. The result is much smoother transitions, faster playback, and a much more immersive experience overall.

Finally, I'm happy to say that I'm very close to finishing the Pirates route. Once that's complete, I'll move on to the next stages of the update.
