The worst trait of humans The 9th doctor even pointed it out in the slitheen episode when the humans gave the nuke codes he said you lot you get scared and you lash out its quite a common theme in the show about aliens that humans can be the scariest monsters going

It's such a fantastic episode this one. One point though, and I really do mean this as a point of positive criticism - you have a tendency to pick out characters from very early on and establish a wholly negative perspective on them. In this case, the Professor. Which ends up missing the point of the storytelling, it's not so much about individual personalities as it is about collective humanity and our tendency towards base paranoia i.e. there's a reason why the 'immigrant' line is mentioned, groupthink can be very powerful.

This episode showed The Doctor the worst of humanity, that when the going gets tough we revert to our animal instincts. If it wasn't for Donna at the end he may have genuinely started to lose faith in the better nature of Humanity. The Doctor is not a good man. He wants to be one but he needs Humanity to remind him constantly of his own better nature.

The Doctor was strange with Donna at the end because she repeated him

Was never a huge fan of this one compared to others in the community, but I appreciate what it did for the 'cheap' episode of the series. I can't bloody wait for next week though!!

Alice Collins

Next episode is one to watch out for! The last episode before the finale 2-parter of the season!

Joshua Smith

This episode is great. Especially as a bottle episode with a low budget showing how you can tell a great story.

Emma Bowman

The actor playing the professor is the real life son of Patrick Troughton, who played the second Doctor.
