I remember back a few years… maybe even a decade ago now, there was a tumblr blog called “the bad art critique” that went after Jollyjack a lot for the disproportionate heads bemoaning that “when you look at real examples of gigantism, their heads stay in proportion to their bodies” and I remember looking up examples and thinking that that blog got it all wrong. Even though, again, it’s fantasy and doesn’t matter. It’s basically just the anime conventions of how reverse-chibifying a character makes them look more powerful or mature.
