sorry about the delay on this! I've tried to upload at least 6 times LOL what a beautiful couple of episodes. I got pretty choked up :') also...if we can bend clouds...can we also bend lightning?

Johnny Boro

in "The Storm" Uncle Iroh redirects a lightning strike into the water, although he does get a little cooked by it heh. it happens really fast and with so much plot in that episode it's very easy to miss

omg I didn’t catch that!!! I’ll have to go back - the fact that they can manipulate things other than the 4 elements blows my mind

These were both good episodes, and hilarious. This show does comedy very well, it never gets old. Iroh is like 🤫 🤣

Hello hello, good to see you again!! Episode 14- some fun facts; Aang and Katara are seen sharing an umbrella in this episode. Sharing an umbrella is an old romantic motif ("Ai-Ai-Gasa") in Japanese history and is commonly used in manga and anime. Also interesting, This episode features a pair of identical twins where one is a bender and the other isn't. I….don’t hate this episode, but it’s definitely average, at best. Not much happens here and it is more of a filler type episode. But there are some moments that are actually pretty great. I love the platypus bear, just another fantastic hybrid animal. Sokka was very funny this episode. More than usual imo. The episode brought up the whole “fate vs destiny” thing in a great way if you ask me. It’s a good question, and it’s put in a way that kids can understand. How much of your life is fate? How much is actually dictated by your own actions? also Aangs airbending display vs the Volcano was great. Also, meng calling katara a floosy 😭 like honestly I’m surprised they were even allowed to put that in. Episode 15- fun facts; This episode makes several references to previous episodes in the season. -June (The Hot bounty hunter) is shown arm wrestling someone that looks like Ryu from Street Fighter. -The pronunciation of Bato is similar to bateau, the French word for "boat". -The name "Hakoda" is similar to the Malay word "nakhoda", which translates to "captain" when taken in the context of a commander of a ship. Glad to see the coughing guy is back and he hasn't lost his timing. Iroh was great this episode. "He means no offense! I'm certain you bathe regularly!" Him talking to the fortuneteller woman, him stealing the perfume, his crush on June, though some people aren't really a fan of this and find it creepy and weird (whole debate) As you said, Great episode for Sokka. Up to this point he's been written often as the comic relief or a hungry buffoon. But it was great to see him taking charge and thriving at something in his element. “Being a man is knowing where you’re needed the most. And for you right now, that’s here, protecting your sister.” What I liked about this episode is how it firmly establishes the family dynamic that the group forms. The same can be said for Iroh and Zuko in a lesser way. It really shows how much Sokka cares for Katara and how alone Aang feels since he lost his entire tribe and thinks he’s about to lose his new ‘family’. Really surprised you loved this episode and seeing you emotional. Think its one of peoples least favorite. Ive enjoyed it more and more the Older i got. Cant believe we’re almost at the finale, felt like just yesterday i saw your first reaction. Thank you again! Also, have you ever thought about making a Discord for your community? Maybe patreon exclusive for people to be more inclined to join or support? Just a thought, understand if you’re busy though for that. See u next time

thank you so much again for your comments! I love how detailed they are! I was surprised I got emotional too considering I feel like most people are saying the super emotional stuff comes in Books 2 and 3 - I’m nervous 🥹 it made me so sad to see little Sokka crying and having to take on such a heavy burden at such a young age. I really appreciate how we have seen him grow and how much he protects others, including katara! What kind of stuff would you be interested if there was a patreon exclusive discord? I’m not against the idea I think I would just need to brainstorm!

Max

Can you do a ranking of your favorite characters/episodes at the end of each season? Thanks.

sailor kayla🌙

Yes!! This is a great idea. I will plan this for the finale watch :)

Im glad you enjoy em! Season 1 has some emotional moments, think its more emotional on a rewatch then watching it first time but thats just me. S2 and 3 are considered more emotional than the 1st one but i do worry people are just saying that cause imo puts alot of expectations on the episodes and reactor because they want you to cry/be emotional to certain scenes and when it doesn’t happen, people somehow get upset at the reactor? Good question, probably should have thought of that before suggesting it. Depends how you plan on doing with your channel i suppose. Are you planning on doing movies reactions anytime soon? Or just shows atm. Maybe movie nights? Or like game nights? Not sure. Or you could just make a discord so anyone can join like BlindWave I believe and its just their whole community and they talk about different shows/movies that they react to. Whatever works for you. Maybe make a post on here and see what others say.

if my crush said "a sweet little guy, just like Momo" i'd definitely cry

Mike Wysocki

I love your reactions to this show so much

overdev

future episodes will break you, I promise :P

Aang's had a crush on Katara since episode 1, which was first telegraphed when she caught him smiling at her and he didn't realize he was.

It's Bah-toh. The word "bateaux" is French for "boat", so Bato is literally "Boat of the Water Tribe".
