Yes, this is how I ended up with 6 cats. I live by a farm and every spring a few of the feral barn kittens make their way to my front porch because the farmers apparently don’t believe in spaying/neutering.

That particular expression from a cat could just as easily mean “oh, hello, good day to you” as it could “you are not welcome here, please leave,” or even “if you dare to violate my sovereign space I will physically attack you.” …that’s a nice little porch settee, by the way. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment from it in nice weather.

There’s a neighborhood cat who likes to hang out in my front yard. He’s a sweet cat, always wanting pets, but he thinks he lives with us. He’s even snuck in one night when I got home from work.
