I don't know if I have the nerve to post this one publicly lol! I was raised with the story of Noah's Ark and it gave me nightmares, even though it was always shown to me in cutesy, cartoon kids' books 😬

That crazy God with all his smiting.

Mr S

Well then he shouldn't have made sinning so *fun*

d4sh

Its ok. God isn't real.

Marcus Mastra

If I had to pick a favorite. It's Psalms 82. Sounds like a ramblings of a mad man talking to a crowd and himself

SparkiestSparky

Like many people, God lived a crazy life then had a kid and realized that they had to calm down and grow up.

I would be scared too! People who are zealots will come out of the woodwork to lecture you. You made me laugh, so funny!!! Aside from floods, God is good. ;-)

Stefan

There God goes again going all old testament on our butts. Workout Ellen fans probably like it

I can definitely understand the hesitation to post this, people are terrible. Which ironically is why g-man is so upset. But he's a dick anyway.

As someone on Reddit recently stated: "At some point I figure the writers of the bible must have been the original Nigerian Prince scammer. The best way to weed out troublemakers from their cult is to make some ridiculous assertions that any sane person would reject. Thus they can be sure that those within the cult are the most gullible people they could brainwash."

SIR Lionheart

The beatings will continue until morale improves!!

Personally, I don't think posting this publicly is worth the hate mail it would invite, but it is a hilarious and accurate depiction. The Old Testament is full of "and then God told them to kill everyone".

I like Tanner's Disclaimer, so here is mine : Former Christian (evangelical)/Current Agnostic with an MA from a respected Christian Seminary. I have always struggled with the tensions between the Old Testament murderous d-bag Yahweh figure and the modern interpretation of a loving Christian God, these two are supposedly the same being yet seem to have extreme split personalities. Without going into apologetics, the above comic really does a good job of identifying one of the many problematic ideas surrounding the transition from Old Testament to New. These paradoxical ideas are things that most Christians either struggle with or ignore. Side note, unless you are looking to start another Reddit Bonfire I think you have made a good choice to leave this one here. You go Ellen! Keep up the good work

Draxel

I'm with you on this one. There's no continuity in those books.

O'Cabbage

I'd post it. Then again I think its pretty funny; love the holy stats with a sad face. Also the story of Noah's ark is kinda messed up over all but then again the Bible has a lot of messed up stuff in it.

Beau C

And those are the Holy Stats 😂

Mystery

You are going to do another video where you show us some art you're working on and the process?

DrHorrible

Aaron Mailhot

Well played with the #1 dad mug :)
