I promised, and I'm delivering. v0.2.1 is here!

But before that... let's celebrate our first month together! It's been crazy the amount of kind words and support and love received from so many internet strangers, and I lack the words to express my grattitude, so just imagine Hanta giving you gentle headpats ♥

So... with that out of the way, what's in v.0.2.1?

First of all,

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM v0.1 or v0.1.1, YOU WILL NEED TO START A NEW SAVE

This is due to several system-wide changes that were much needed for v0.2

Those coming from v0.2, you are safe to keep playing, although there isn't new content for you to explore.

v0.2.1 adds Web & Mobile builds. And some bits and bobs.

If you're a Patreon supporter and have played through v0.2, then there isn't much for you here this time around, sorry. v0.2.5 is where the meat is at.If, however, you're coming from v0.1, then I hope you enjoy v0.2 with added story beats!

The goal for this release was always to improve the User Interface and Experience for all platforms, and I think I nailed it pretty well.

Sure, there are some content additions, such as the possibility of doing volunteer work at the animal shelter, but for now, it's nothing meaningful... for now.

Yes! Let's talk about the plans for the next big release!First, the bad news. v0.2.5 will take time. I'm talking around 3 weeks. Why? Because I need to advance the story enough to reach a crucial mark that will allow me to do more things involving customization!

Fine, get on with it, what's coming?

Story progress! I have around 5 story events planned, with the first definitely being the most fun one I've written so far, and the last one is a bittersweet one in my opinion.

I'm replacing the menu-based town navigation with a proper sandbox, meaning that if you want to visit the general store, you'll have to walk there yourself.

This will be perfect to help me experiment with a hard mode version, with player-driven stats, but it's extremely early for that.

v0.2.5 will also include some OPTIONAL minigames to help boost your income, and others to boost the cat's mood.

You'll also be able to purchase upgrades to your home, with each level unlocking new features, like being able to play different tracks that you own, cook a nice meal (together, eventually)

For now, I just hope you enjoy playing through this story I'm loving developing so much.

Hanta is my third favorite character I've ever written, with Memento being a easy first, and I'm proud of having reached so many people ♥
