Deep amongst the bamboo forest, blessed waters lie at the site where the Ki-rin Shyougama, Mountain Guardian, ascended back to her celestial home. The monks who followed her built the shrine and golden pavilion to honour her. The  Legend says, when the mountains are threatened, she returns to defend her realm.
