But I also have no idea if it's just more common in South Korea to be far more kind than Americans typically are about showing someone you're not interested or Sunghoon just didn't want to make Young-seo unnecessarily mad, or what

You make a good point, and yes I wanted to give him a nice smack on the back of the neck lol. But even if Sunghoon was trying to be nice, he would’ve been better off just telling Young-seo what happened from the start. Like, sir, where was this salty energy you had towards Young-seo before you started taking her seriously lol, he needed to use some of that on cousin!
