I remember Cobra mostly for Sly cutting a slice of pizza with scissors Also loved the peak behind in the previous episode. Love to hear the consideration to cover single arcs that could lead to covering longer running series (maybe an arc of the shonen GOAT DBZ) or older animes when 50ish episodes were far more common. Would love to hear you guys do Gundam via the compilation movies and then maybe Heather's favorite arc to talk about compilation anime, a thing not needed anymore now that most anime aren't 26 episode, forget about the 70 and 80s of 50+ episode seasons.

Matt's story about being forced to leave Good Burger reminded me that when I went to see Detective Pikachu with my mum she revealed afterwards she held a grudge ever since she had to sit through Pokémon the Movie when I was 7, but she liked Detective Pikachu so much that she finally forgave the franchise (and by extension me) for wasting her time 20 years prior.

KidKimura

I watched an episode of Birdie Wing with my wife, when the opening credits started she turned to me and said "Did they just say penis slime?!" And now I can't unhear it.

Richard Belcourt

Wiger please watch sound! euphonium. It's about a high school orchestral band and I know you would love it.

MacheteOfOdin

I am wondering if the reveal about nuclear weapons in Chainsaw Man could be considered a spoiler or not. Having read the latest chapter (210), it is not necessarily a spoiler about a character but more so a spoiler about the nature of devils that I'm unsure has been explored. That chapter is completely unhinged and got an ironic "hell yeah, brother" from me.

Ben Walkup

Okay hear me out Nick Tiger Matt Cobradaca Heather Anne Camp-Bull They are: Get Animal'd

I've decided to continue listening without watching because I want to enjoy my anime time and you'll only get one Violet Evergarden out of me. That being said I thought it might be a good time to catch up on your back log and watch Haruhi Suzumiya. So imagine my surprise when I put on ep 25 and am subjected to the worst dog shit I've ever seen and my ears are bleeding. I caught on though and im enjoying it.

Rebecca Moretti

A good anime to check out if you're looking for something new is  Gachiakuta, it's like Edge Runners on a trash planet. Also, Apothecary Diaries is wonderful, probably my fastest binged shows. I'm happy to hear Heather enjoying it, it only gets better through the end of season 2.

Omaha Zookeeper

Been thinking the whole time with this show that it is just a better and female version of Happy Gilmore, but when Rose's hand falls off I was just waiting to find out it was a gator that took it!

Been playing catch up on the last few episodes, and there was talk about golf clothing a few weeks ago. In the UK, they do something called ‘Pub Golf’ where everyone dresses up like golfers and then have different drinks in different bars, all listed on a scorecard, with the aim of drinking each in as few attempts as possible to get a low score like in golf.

Grant Prusi

I’m glad the turtles were called out, because I was hoping someone’s self-proclaimed would be “two turtles fighting over a leaf.”

Arthur Newman

Happy Gilmore 2 was so unfunny I fell asleep. I am interested in what they think.

Triften

One thing I noticed in Birdie Wing Ep 6, ~4m11s: As Eve runs past the "camera", it shakes when she steps "near" it... That's a neat touch to the animation and completely unnecessary.

Kevin Ela

Happy Gilmore 2 was so good buddy

A couple of weeks ago fellow commenter Giuliano B suggested Nick would love The Apothecary Diaries. I would like to repeat this and FYI I'm using my full throat to do so. My throat is raw. Dont take mine or GB's word for it regardless of throat power. Watch the OP for season 1 on YouTube or something, the rest will take care of itself.. This is not a drill and I want to stress once more - there is no remaining throat, my ENTIRE throat has been used.

Well bloody ‘ell, I didn’t mean to cause such a palaver saying naff, I just meant that my wife thought Cagliostro looked rubbish or something me old muckers. Full disclosure, I am indeed British and can confirm that every one of us talks like that constantly, absolutely not a caricature of stupid British bullshit. I am sure Heather can confirm after her Oasis trip..

Zack Tennenhouse

I understand if Heather is his favorite, but for Ash to not even show up when she's not around is a little disrespectful to the boys if you ask me.

Big Chunk of the fanbase

My problem with the after credits stuff, is that most of the time, it’s a next episode teaser, and so I’ve trained myself to not watch those because I don’t want to see stuff about the next ep before I watch it, so birdie wing having plot critical stuff at the end seems almost an affront to standard practice

XRedGambit

I'm disappointed in the boys as they didn't correlate the slice to curving the (purple) bullet.

Eddarrd88

Hey, I can't watch this show because it is not groovy enough. Can you please do a watch along with Heather of either the 1st, or all of the Austin Power Movies? I think we can either 1) make her realize how funny they are, or B) break her brain. Either way, should make some great content! also K-Pop Demon Hunters is Frickin amazing!

BlueWRXDriver

hell yeah Matt! snag yourself a nice master grade (slightly larger with more detail) or a real grade (same scale as high grade with much more detail) and up your gunpla game! some of us in the discord are trying to have a meetup at one of the gundam base popups happening soon, we'll be sure to post a group pic!

Tachyonic Sloth ⚛️⚡️🦥

Didn’t realize this was a Bandai Namco production - same friend who informed me of that also told me there are like 26 episodes split into 2 “half-seasons”

Rin Manzano

Loving how this golf anime escalates quickly. It reminds me of classic Yugioh where in one episode losing a card game causes a buzzsaw to cut the loser’s legs off

Pete Ficken

I mean…. Our cafe is over the salt water portion of the Colombia river. Where the river meets the pacific. It’s pretttttty damn serene. Also- Since Matt loves turtles, and Nick loves Tokusatsu films(namely Godzilla) the Gamera line of films are a very mixed bag, but combine those two things for very whacky results. Would love to hear you guys do a watch along :)

Bobson Dugnutt

Probably too late now, but -Birdie’s the word -Bird on the street -Back and Fore-th -Look who’s talk-wing 2 -are you talk-wing to me? (this one gives lots of potential for Nick and Matt to say the line, which I’m sure Heather will love)

Alex Chosid

When Leon first came in I knew I I recognized his voice but couldn’t place it. It’s fucking Char Aznable! Turns out they got the rights to more than just Gunpla.

Dr. Pepper (for mama)

This show is like Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, but for Wii Sports Golf. Golf is combat. I love it.

Giuliano B

Haven’t heard any talk of it on the pod yet but I think Shangri-la frontier is a great show for you guys, it’s completely video game oriented based on a player in a fully realized vr experience! It’s up everybody’s alley for sure.
