Regarding tobacco use, the Bat Devil talked about how disgusting people who smoked smelled/tasted, so this could also be a defensive reason for them using tobacco.

Of all the episodes so far of the adaptation, KILL DENJI is my favorite so far. The manic energy is great and just how I wanted it for the eternity devil arc. MAPPA is doing so well

As someone who never read the manga, watching Gun Devil is really when the show took a turn for me. Seeing Makima manipulate Denji while simultaneously showing the destruction of the Gun Devil, was really fucked up and awesome. It shows how much danger he's in, and how desperate his handlers are. I'm thankful he's too stupid to be afraid, but afraid for him because he's so stupid.

Mauricio Diocis

Malina kinda acting like a damn Try Guy with the way she manipulated a subordinate.

Love the show! Love the pod! Thanks folks 🙏

Blair Kuehn-Smith

I hope I can someday be half as motivated about something as Denji is at the prospect of getting a French kiss

Idea for Get Anime’d: After hearing that Matt hasn’t seen ANY Ghibli films, I think they should do one week covering a film, then a week doing two episodes of Chainsaw Man, then a film, etc. Doesn’t need to be a Ghibli film even, but the idea of paying for two months of the podcast when they’re only covering ONE episode of Chainsaw Man a week is kind of bumming me out. There’s no rule saying you can’t alternate, guys! Anyone here agree?

I loved NGE so much but then afterwards thought after unsuccessfully trying Cowboy Bebop and Inyuyasha on Netflix and sticking with Lyco Ryco only because of the podcast “Huh, maybe I just love Evangelion and anime isn’t for me otherwise.” Then Chainsaw Man came along. I love it so so much. Maybe more than Eva. I just finished all of the manga over the last week and a half bc I couldn’t wait week to week for the show anymore. Best read of my life. Maybe it’s just for the two, but I can definitively say that because of this podcast I love manga and anime because with NGE and Chainsaw Man I have bought and loved a shit ton 😂

I haven’t seen many anime’s but the ones I have watched are all big ones (Eva, Death Note, Hunter Hunter) so take this with a grain of salt but while I was watching episode 5 of Chainsaw Man I had the thought “this may be the best anime of all time” also I want to shoutout that the opening song and animation is awesome and every single end credit song they’ve used so far is a banger that’s immediately added to my Apple Music library and I want to work out to them all.

Love the pod. Love the show. Love the use of Weed Whacker Devil sound effects in the intro music for the pod ;-)

I know that a lot of folks don't like (or they absolutely hate) "bottle" episodes of any show. I don't mind them, and some (like Breaking Bad's "Fly") I really like. All that being said, "KILL DENJI" might be my favorite bottle episode of any show ever.

I really need to hear Nick and Matt talk about Kobeni’s Sloppy Toppy Devil meme. Love the show!

Daniel Reiss

Wait, you crazy people are reading these on next episode? Is it rude to request a format change (just talk about what you liked or didn't like, instead of doing a whole episode rundown? Currently it kind of feels to me like you shoehorn the good parts [your reactions/opinions] in between a literal recounting of the episode's beats).

David Ohlson

Hi guys just want to say i love the pod cant wait for each new ep to drop! So im watching chainsaw man with my rad as hell 13 yr old daughter and her reactions to everything make a great show even more fun. She was shocked that Denji’s reason for living was to feel a boob for the first time, and she was just as bummed as he was when he realized his dream. Sometimes life is like that lol, good lesson to learn. Anyways cant wait to hear your reactions to the new ep!
