Got my Blu Ray copy from my Doughscord Secret Santa. Gonna watch it with my sister tonight!

This is my favorite movie to watch this time of year. Perfectly cozy. The fact that Kon could do any kind of movie and make it work within it's genre is mind-blowing. Dude was a once in a generation talent.

Nick: “… doesn’t have to have songs and a fucking castle and a squirrel companion.” Shots fired at Griffin Newman. But seriously I need to rewatch this and Paprika, Kon is still such a devastating loss and I hate that we never got his last movie.

This has been on my watch list for dang near 20 years, thanks for giving me the push to watch it! Might be my favorite holiday movie! It's sad and hopeful and tragic and full of love, A+!

You guys should absolutely cover Paranoia Agent on the show. It’s Satoshi Kon’s only anime series, it’s 13 25 minute episodes and I think it’s his best work behind Perfect Blue. From episode to episode you have no way to know where it’s going next but it always makes sense, it’s amazing. People call it his Twin Peaks, take that for what you will.
