Nick and Matt need to get Gundamnitiated. Maybe start with one of the OVAs like 08th MS Team, 0080, or 0083? They are low-commitment, have nicer animation than the TV series, and are generally pretty approachable, save perhaps a quick Wiki look.

I feel bad for leaving a comment instead of a question! I didn’t understand the request. Haha

Rachael

I feel bad for leaving a novella of a review instead of just leaving a two sentence comment. 🥲

i’m so sad i missed the question block because last summer i showed these movies to my friend who had never seen the show before as an experiment to see if someone with no context of the show would like them 😂

Interesting to hear Heather outright doesn't like Trigun. I remember liking it (besides one serious continuity error in the final episode) but it's been years since I've seen it, might still be a good series to cover. Also thanks for reading my dumb throwaway joke.

Thanks so much for answering my question, crew! That said, I need to learn to edit myself because that sounded way more ridiculous out loud😶‍🌫️

I ended up working all weekend and let me tell you this episode was a big part of getting me through it. I laughed a lot and now I wanna watch big daddy again. I missed the jump on the mailbag, but I actually started watching EVA because a girl I was dating wanted to get me into anime and i ended up being way more into it than she was. This pod started at around the same time and it was a wonderful coincidence! So far I have not found another anime thats hit the same way (tho I did enjoy Utena) but i have high hopes. I am no longer dating that girl but I'm glad I got Eva out of it ahahahahaha
