I’m self proclaimed “direct back HEEELLLL!!”

Now that we're getting towards the end of the season I'm running into the problem I always face after finding a new show. Do I binge the manga before the next season? What do y'all think?

What do you guys think your respectfully antagonistic nicknames would be if you were playing with the teams? If you're feeling extra brave what would names would you give each other? I know from experience that mine always ends up being speedy Gonzalez because of my height, speed, race, and the lack of playing with anyone actually funny.

Usually the title of an episode happens within the first few minutes in an episode, which makes sense. Episode 21's title card is the very last thing before end credits. This anime rocks!

Hey Hey Get Anime'd Fam! I've been enjoying this watchalong from the beginning, so thank you for putting this series on my radar, as it is absolutely not something I would have picked out for myself otherwise. And while I think I'm kinda on Team Nick with regards to the pacing, (especially after Chainsaw Man's breakneck speed) I simply find myself riveted by each episode in this series. By the end of these past two episodes, I found I was on the edge of my seat, itching to devour the next! Somewhat unrelated, while it's been established that the Crunchyroll app leaves a lot to be desired, I'm continually confounded and frustrated by the app's decision to completely separate the subs and dubs of a series into separate category entries. It only stands to reinforce the notion that the two artforms are separate entities, and somehow unequally valid. I enjoy watching subtitled anime, but sometimes it just isn't feasible to give my entire attention to the TV or tablet, and if I'm tired or cooking or otherwise distracted, I can miss huge plot revelations in a matter of seconds. Besides, I think dubbed anime still gets a bad rap from back when "voice acting for foreign cartoons" was looked down upon as a niche market, and the pool of voice talent perhaps wasn't what it is today. And in cases where my first exposure to a particular show was the dub, that's just what that character sounds like now in my head, it's just ingrained that way. Thoughts? Anyway, love you guys and the show.

Someone's gonna score a goal so hard that it breaks through the net, right? There's no way a show like this wouldn't make that happen eventually so I'm wondering who will be the one to do it. Any guesses?

When Isagi scored that back heel goal on Rin, I audibly said “Oh Shiiiit!” and stood up on my couch. I haven’t reacted that strongly while watching any of the real sports teams I follow. This anime rules.

I'm watching Blue Lock alongside my first viewing of Attack on Titan and I gotta say, Blue Lock has me more stressed out and more hyped than Attack on Titan even though the stakes are just Soccer.

Nagi letting Bachira know who Isagi's new man is. Fucking savage.
