As long as Bachira is still here, I'm still here. Full stop.

LOVED these last two episodes! I will admit the voice acting for the World 5 kind of took me out a little bit but I loved it none the less. I hope we get more seasons in the future!

Dabinsk

Who would be the world 5 of podcasting and would their butts be as good as bachira’s?

MK

What a great season! I'm so happy I got on board to watch this with everyone. And I can't wait to see these psychos steal some normal soccer team's job next season.

Blue Lock has consistently surprised me with its plot twists. I thought I would never rally from Isagi losing Bachira, but now that they’re reunited I’m devastated that we lost Nagi in the process. And you’re telling me that next season there are even MORE evil looking soccer boys with colorful hair?!? Also wanted to give a recommendation for the show Hi-Score Girl. It’s a fun and funny slice-of-life anime that uses real characters and gameplay from arcade games like Street Fighter 2, Dark Stalkers, and Virtua Fighter. It even features a protagonist who opted to buy a Sega Saturn over a PlayStation.

Steve Young

I just want to say that I normally listen to the show religiously, but sometimes I save these anime ones up for after I've seen the show, but I fully intend to listen to every GD one!

Riley Flischel

Pour one out for each of the team Z players that didn't progress past the second selection.

LOVED the final two eps.Loki’s speed was really cool and the fact that “monk-boy” made it and Kunigami didn’t was infuriating. And for people who wants to read ahead start at chapter 93 :)

Thanks for reading my question! The one time I don't use my middle initial I am in fact mistaken for the prolific British documentarian. Matt mention a while ago that when he reads he tries to hear the voices of characters in his head. I do so as well and find that if I'm having a hard time placing a character's voice I have a hard time engaging with a manga or otherwise, For example, when I read Chainsaw Man Denji is voiced by Steve-O from Jackass and I love Chainsaw Man. Were you able to voice cast the characters in a manga or adaptation, who would your dream voices be?

AHHHHHHH!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hot birdshit sandwich

Ranking of Kings is a very special anime y’all would enjoy very much

It's always kinda weird to see other countries depicted in anime. Those depiction are more often than not borderline racist, especially black-coded characters. The player from Brazil is especially bad, when you know what Brazilian football is known for. Still great show. Ps: Isagi should play offensive or wide midfielder and not forward imo.

Cowboy Bebop: The Movie isn't streaming anywhere and the Blu-Ray is $80. So does anybody have a 1990s pirate box I can hook up to my cable, so I can watch it? I'll pay for shipping and promise not to watch the Vivid channel.

Hello! This is my first time commenting on any podcast, but I was inspired to ask this question to you three because you all have mentioned Improv stuff on this pod and Get Played. If you had to Blue Lock-up an improv school to create the NEXT BEST IMPROVISER, what Blue Lock style trials would you create to make the next, idk, Jason Mantzoukas (is that top tier improv person?) Regardless, hopefully this question isn't too nerdy and im excited to hear your answers. (lowkey hope y'all do something with Zip, Zap, Zop).

(Go off about M. Night king) Watching the crew get decimated by the World 5 was a great moment. Seeing our heroes be completely outclassed really put the whole season in perspective. Like you trained your whole life, but you’re still just a traffic cone to some 17 yr old from France. I’ve experienced that playing ice hockey myself, but was wondering if you guys have had a similar experience at any point. Did you laugh it off and accept it, or stew in anger like Rin?

Morgster180

One thing that I think you guys forgot to comment on was how Gurimu Igarashi (the lowest ranked player who would have to be a monk if he lost) came out in the end seeming like the Joker

While the show kind of veered away from the PG-13 Saw/Squid Game story I was initially expecting, it fully sidestepped my expectations and blew me away. Every time Isagi got his ass handed to him, deconstructed the playing field, then unlocked a new understanding of the game was so much more emotionally impactful than a soccer anime has any right to be. This show rips. I can’t wait for season two.
