This movie is so beautiful. I can’t wait to listen.

The Eva SP//DR robot that Matt described is Jake Wyatt’s original design from the Spider-Verse comic. Was so psyched to see it in the new movie!

Anyone else having a problem downloading this ep?

Weeb adjacent story related to the 4DX experience Heather had - I went to go see the last My Hero Academia movie in theaters and when I sat down with my friends (who bought the tickets and I just handed them money) I noticed the exact same thing. Weird chairs. Right before the movie started, they simulated a car accident with the chairs and I said to myself "Jesus Christ, I couldn't imagine an entire movie of that"... and then the first scene of the movie started which is them dropping in to a battle from a plane. I had no idea what a 4D movie even was. I endured 4 minutes of being whipped around, sprayed with water and blinded by strobing lights before I walked out of the theater (something I've actually never done during a movie). My friends all stayed and came out with horrible headaches and nausea. WHO IS THIS EXPERIENCE FOR?!

I haven't seen Across the Spider-verse yet, but I've enjoyed Haruhi so much that I watched ahead and am in the middle of Endless Eight and will probably finish the series soon. Has anyone seen The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan? Is it worth checking out?

This movie slaps btw

Zeon Liberation

Something about Into the Spider-Verse and traumatic events. I was going through a divorce when I saw it.

I was listening to heather's rant about the toil behind animation while working late to draw every bit of a carpet for a background that no one is going to look at, and I love heather

I know I’m in the minority, but I just could not get into this movie. The animation is gorgeous but I was so damn bored throughout. There’s way too many scenes of characters just having heart to hearts with their parents and I found the Easter eggs kind of detrimental to the movie. I did kinda like what they’ve set up for the next one though, just wish getting there was more interesting.

I know it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but the lackluster entrance into spoiler country may have ruined my day...

I'm more than a bit late to comment here, but this is the type of episode I subscribe for. Genuine great discussion. How animation makes us mad, gives us feels, challenges us, etc. Thanks
