Haven't listened yet, but so happy to see we get to hear Heather's voice. We love you and hope you're doing exceptionally well

crystalhearts

Oh my goodness this new theme song 🤩

Ivan Lajara

I expect Nick to have finished One Piece by the time they get to these comments

Cal

Geoff Kriz

A’ight. Let’s watch One Piece. I’m down!

Yall should definitely do fieren is so delightfully chill, but really rocks its action points

Michael Pemulis

If I have to exist, I wish I was a cyborg. And not a dumb, Elon Musk one, but rather, a smart, and helpful, non-racist one. That said, I love this show, so far.

BensDecoy

I wish Nick Godspeed on his One Piece journey. I’m a member of the .01% of people with no interest in the show who then had that disinterest turn into a reflexive dislike because it’s presence is so dominating in anime discourse on Twitter and YouTube it’s impossible to simply ignore. The only equivalent I can think of would be the MCU if every single person you ever saw talk about it insisted it be sent out on a Voyager probe as a way of preserving mankind’s greatest accomplishment. As the Weeb Been Weeb’ns continue this year I’m sure I’ll be proven wrong again 😞

The Pluto anime was my favorite piece of media I experienced in 2023 and I’m so glad they’re covering it on the pod!

corndog

so proud of nick finally joining the ranks of us die-hard one piece fans. i've been reading the series for over 15 years and haven't missed a chapter except for a few months in 2010 when i was in army basic training. nicholas, you will not be disappointed because it is, without exaggeration, the greatest story ever told.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off has total Rebuild of Evangelion vibes (but better). Also rewatched the live action Scott Pilgrim recently and holy smokes it's still a small miracle that film ever got made

Delia

Glad to hear Heather’s back and is checking out Frieren! The first cour was my favorite anime of last year - gorgeous animation, wonderful characters, and genuinely funny. Absolutely worth the watch.

clearplastichuman

now why would yall want to make me cry like this :( also when Gesicht went down to that robot-killing robot, the image of the spear in his chest was remiscent of the spear of longinus in the chest of adam i believe in NGE. k bye luv you guys (killer new intro!)

Zeon Liberation

With Matt that Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is excellent. It’s a great sort of AU/retelling of Scott Pilgrim.

Hyped on Wiger watching One Piece, but like, just skip the filler. I’m current on the manga but man the pacing in the anime can be so brutal I don’t think I could do it

Joshua Laguna

NICK! READ One Piece! It’s so much better! No extra stuff and go at your own pace! Completely on the Jump App!

SchniedelWutz

There aren't many contexts, when I'm proud of being German, but I always feel good about myself, when I discover German words in anime. And of course welcome back Heather

John Day

There’s a cool easter egg in the first episode of Pluto. The doctor who saves the composer’s sight is Black Jack, the main character of another Tezuka manga. He’s a doctor who travels the world solving cases no one else can.

Adam Curtis

Yes, Nick!!! The One Piece is real!!!!!!
