3 Jay Leno Jokes for Pluto! Can a joke be read by Heather, Matt, and Nick***? Have you guys checked out that Netflix series, Pluto? Gesicht, the robot detective, is on a mission to solve the mystery of who's offing the robots. I haven't seen someone so determined to uncover the truth since my grandma tried to figure out who ate her secret stash of cookies. Gesicht's investigating murder in a world of bolts and nuts – it's like a futuristic whodunit with circuits instead of suspects. I bet the killer's just a Roomba tired of being underestimated! I was watching Pluto on Netflix, you know, the one with Gesicht the robot detective solving murders. It's like "CSI: Cybernetic Scene Investigation." I mean, who knew robots could have such a dark side? Gesicht is like the Robo-Sherlock Holmes of the future – solving mysteries with algorithms instead of magnifying glasses. I can already hear him saying, "Elementary, my dear motherboard." It's not just a murder mystery; it's a silicon suspense thriller! (Nick plz) So, Pluto on Netflix has Gesicht, the robot detective, trying to crack the case of who's knocking off his fellow robots. It's like "Robo-P.I.: Silicon Sleuth." I haven't seen a robot so committed to solving crimes since my old Roomba tried to figure out who spilled the cereal in the kitchen. Gesicht is on a mission, and I can't help but think the killer is just a malfunctioning toaster with a grudge. Next thing you know, they'll have Robo-Columbo asking, "Just one more question... before my battery dies."

Tenma's philosophy on what the perfect robot is is pretty dumb. If you could create a new species of being, would you have it feel hatred, pain, boredom, misery and death? Why not just have a child, at that point. He should be trying to eliminate all the limitations of every known creature, to make one that only knows sustainable life and contentment. Tenma, you dipshit.

I apologize for this joke in advance. I’m glad Nick corrected himself on the Abbulah thing. I guess he just had to take his D out of his mouth. Sorry Nick. Burger brigade 4 life. Edge.

Matt’s joke was funny

I’m so glad Heather recommended Kids on The Slope to Nick, it’s a great series that I’ve mentioned in the comments a few times when Nick talked up Blue Giant, as think he’d really enjoy it. Blue Giant is finally getting a UK cinema release next week, so pretty excited to check it out!

Not sure which death of a character I only just met made me cry more; Montblanc, North No2, or the sad sick doggy robot from this episode.

Grant Prusi

Every time the series shows an old photo of montblanc, my heart hurts all over again.

I don’t know where else to put this idea: Blue Lock, but for Rocket League. That’s all.

I feel obligated to point out whenever Gundam Wing is mentioned that this hand of mine glows with an awesome power! Its burning grip tells me to defeat you! Here I go! Shining finger!

So far I have been enjoying Pluto. I don't know if I would've watched it, or a lot of any anime without this podcast. I rewatched Suzume and made my kids watch it with me. They really enjoyed it. I watched Ubisoft, the anime, and that was just a fever dream of videogame anime. Very strange and enjoyable. I also enjoyed how the blue talk (which I enjoy saying with you all) devolved into Tonight Show with Cyber Jay Leno without Heather there to bring the boys back down to earth. Side note, I watched the Scott Pilgrim anime and it had a broader, but similar, video game referenced anime. So I think it would be worth a look or an episode of just talking about it. I watched and finished Zom 100. I really enjoyed the opening once they got one made for the show. It's got a nice dance to it as well. If anything I think you could rename the section Plu Tolke. Hope things go well for Heather, and I guess Matt and Nick.

Pluto has been an interesting watch. Coming into astroboy through this gritty reboot has been a fun way to learn about the series as a whole. The gritty reboot is such a risky move. do you guys have any other "gritty reboots" you love or think should be made? the closest comparison i can make to pluto is the Snagglepuss chronicles. a comic staring the hannah barbera cartoon cast that places snagglepuss as a Tennessee Williams type gay playwright during the time of McCarthyism. it rules but on paper it sounds like such a bad idea.

DebrafromHR

i have watched this and the anime atom which is the prequel to astroboy and its so cool how these show mash together timeline wise

As I stared into Atom's cold dead eyes, my only thought was, 'Heather is so back in'

My dad was the architect for Acclaim entertainment's office building and the CEOs residence. Sony had offered that CEO a bunch of stuff for whatever reason and my sister and I ended up with two Aibos in 1999 (I was 4 and she was 7). Seeing them run out of battery And slowly stop being able to walk was maybe my first experience of existential dread
