ACAB but I’m still sad about Gesicht 💔

MK

I got questions about all these robo-kids. Are they designed and programmed to be children permanently? Or do we think as their A.I. learns and develops they get body upgrades to grow into adult robots? And if that's the case, is there robot puberty?

The English dub VA for Gesicht commented on the last episode

Thanks for taking my suggestion for "Plu-Talk"! Matt was right - I did want to hear y'all say "ploo-talk" a bunch of times. I'm one of those idiots who enjoys listening even when, or maybe especially when, you go off topic. Heather and Matt... AND Nick are cool!

Grant Prusi

As soon as Gesicht said he was sure he and Muhammad Ali would see each other again, I knew that robot kid was dying. I wasn’t wrong, but at the same time I was really wrong.

Zeon Liberation

Oh god. Now and Then Here and There. Devastating. Truly upsetting. That would not be a Blue Summer, that’s a Black Abyss Summer.

Will K.

As soon as Attack on Titan wrapped, my partner (who doesn't like anime or anything weeb) and I binged the entire series over the course of a month. Can't wait to hear Heather's thoughts on the series, the show goes in some WILD directions.

Will K.

Also, I loved Pluto—possibly my favourite new series watched through Get Anime'd.

When Tenma was consoling Helena and he spoke about making oneself cry and eventually it will become a natural response, and he mentioned it worked for him- was that a reveal of him being a robot? Or did we always know he was a robot and I somehow totally missed that? Or was he referring to his difficulty in showing emotion as a human? (Also if I should be so bold to assume this will be read next episode, it’s Can-jell-oh-see ;D )

H.E. Burrows

Congrats to Matt for discovering his mutant power (no jet lag). Pretty chill, better than cockroach powers.

Michael Pemulis

I'm a Level 99 Dungeon Crawler, but My Brother's a Real Piece of Shit!

Brock Landreth

Maybe I misunderstood or took it too literally but I thought the revelation was that Gesicht and Helena *did* adopt a child and that child was the final victim of Adolf’s brother, leading to the murder. It would fit in with the theme of the high-level AIs having extreme “unstable emotions” introduced into them.

Luke Lamar

As the episode was ending with all the sadness and somber music, I kept thinking, how are they going to cut to the horns for the outro? I mean I guess they didn't (cowards) but it just reinforced how wild it was that Eva episodes just cut straight to 'Fly Me to the Moon.'

Shaun Anderson

Wow this show is thiiiiiick! TBH I’d like to thank you guys, if it weren’t for the podcast I don’t think I would have made it past the first episode. I’m glad I did though!

David Mucci

It’s not even in the top 10 saddest things in the show, but it makes me uniquely sad that robots can’t enjoy food, they can only pretend to. Every time it comes up it gives me this sense of intense melancholy, almost as intense as the melancholy feeling I get whenever What We Been Weebin rolls around and Nick still hasn’t started One Piece.

XRedGambit

Gesicht, now it's more like guts mist. But RIP to the real one. He's up there with mont blanc. Also, I know it's too late but plu tolk is what I say when I join you when you are saying it. It is fun to sound like Bob Dole.

Dissonance

If you all do Attack on Titan just maybe look into why the author is considered controversial in some circles. It’s a complex issue but worth being informed on.

Shevil McBevil

The possibility of you covering Delicious in Dungeon has got me quite hype indeed. I wonder what would be the best way to prepare each host? Apodaca a l'Orange anyone? 🍊
