Hello and welcome to our new studio (you have to click on the video to see it!), it's been a few weeks of moving in and getting it in the right shape. Now it's ready to have many videos filmed in it.

It's time for episode 3 of Shelf Help, looking at your collections, and offering some advice. Thanks to those who submitted! I hope you enjoy this one.

And up next - I will finally, definitely share my Top 10 Games of 2025. The script is coming along nicely.

This week I had two wonderful game nights, with some great games that I can't wait to film and share with you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Actually yours,

Jon

Thanks for using my shelfie in the thumbnail. You may not have talked about it in the video, but it's nice to be included in some way.

Sorry you didn't make it into this one! Hopefully another episode. Thanks for your aesthetically pleasing collection photo!

I understand your dislike for Exploding Kittens. But set a reminder for when you need a game to play with your kids or nieces or nephews in the 7-10 range. In my experience, there's no better strategy card game that levels the playing field when adults and kids are competing.

This is a great format, and a fun discussion of the parts of the hobby that aren’t just “what should I buy next?” Now I’m off to find the first two episodes.

Ahhh my collection is embarrassing. Very aesthetic but.... probably a third of the games are still in the plastic wrap because I'm better at buying than playing (or having friends to play with).
