Happy Friday everyone! Let’s have a video to celebrate.

In today’s video I’m joined by board game expert and all-round great guy - James Wallis, designer of Once Upon A Time and The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen, as well as the author of Everybody Wins: Four Decades of the Greatest Board Games Ever Made.

I brought him in to discuss the best old games - our favourite games from the dark ages of board gaming before the 1990s euro game renaissance.

He’s a great guy to chat to - he knows so much about everything board game related - hopefully you get a taste of that in this video.

This is the first of two videos this month - we will have an extra video (another single review!) in a couple of weeks - thanks to our Benefactors. It’s already filmed, it just needs pulling together.

And thanks to some feedback on the Discord, I will be working on a new video about the hobby - something in the vein of my Mistakes or Etiquette video. Hopefully to come in September.

Have a great weekend!

Actually yours,

Jon

Whoa, great topic and heck of a great surprise guest! I enjoyed listening to James' "Everybody Wins" late last year and just tracked down a copy of the FFG version of Munchausen
