Untitled Shooter Game Update / god it's october already (Patreon)

Very minor update on Nat and I's shooter game, which is currently on hold as you probably surmised from us not talking about it too much. Not for a bad reason, to be clear! We're both really busy and this was always something we did in our free time, which currently does not exist much. Nat got a full-time job again finally and I've been super busy with some stuff I can... mostly not talk about? I think I can say I'm making illustrations for Austin Walker's Realis project and I'm really excited for what I've done in it. Getting to bring to life the worlds Austin creates is a joy, he has a mind for worlds and stories that makes filling a canvas the easiest and most exciting thing ever.
What I do have as an update is some stuff I've drawn to think up ideas about what our space station/colony looks like. I'm trying to avoid really boring depictions of stuff that's already littered sci-fi media (NOT TO CRITICIZE THE O'NEILL CYLINDER WHICH WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE) while making sure it primarily comes across as a research/secretive outpost. There's no ports or space traffic going in and outta there, and it needs to visibly have a purpose that isn't "space station".
We'll get back to working on it when we're less busy but we're also at a bit of a crossroads I think, especially for a project that is effectively two people which a certain set of skills. We've done a lot of hard work to, like, expand on that but without infinite time/resources or, like, the life we both lead as adults in our 30s... well. At least for my part, I'm really proud that I finally did learn 3D, a new engine, and that I have a bunch of room to grow in both of those but rigging/animating might just be out of my scope when I also have to write, concept, illustrate, texture, and model everything. I'm also really proud of the work Nat's done to get what we have coming from basically no code knowledge whatsoever, but it feels like we're now at the crest where, like, we need to draw the rest of the owl, so-to-speak. Making a thing that works is one thing, making a thing that's good is a whole other. Not to say I don't have all the confidence in the world that we can make something good! We just realistically don't have the resources (time, ability to infinitely pay rent) to get there in a way that is, like, easy. We'll figure it out!
Both of us care way too much about this thing to let it die so rest assured, it won't, but y'know. Life!
It's also been a bit since I've drawn the girls but rest assured, they're around. :3
I also talked about starting a sticker club a bit ago on Bluesky and I'd still like to do that but, unfortunately, Canada Post is on strike (as they should be!! ✊✊✊ to CUPW) and shipping to the US currently is functionally impossible. In Canada, we have to pay customes and duties in advance, which means downloading a third-party app, registering on there, and processing packages through payment on that app/website which... no thank you. America, please unfuck yourselves already.
Hopefully it can come to fruition soon, I'm itching to make stickers!!
