👠 Monthly Update: June 2023 (Patreon)

Dear Shiny Patrons,

June is full of surprises for Patreon (and hopefully the content on Youtube too). 

First of all, I want to thank you for your support on Patreon and on Youtube. You are a key element of this channel and make it possible. On June 18th, Shoe Shine with Kat is celebrating its 2nd anniversary! 

I still cannot believe it has been two years since I published the first video on Youtube. I had no expectations when I open SSWK, I just knew I wanted to document the shoe shine profession and people's stories. Never thought my life was about to change. I have met some wonderful people online and in person too. Every interview I have had on the channel teaches me something new about life and gives me a different perspective. So I am truly thankful for all the knowledge and experiences in these 2 years. 

As always, I'll be releasing the content on Patreon in the next few days (I have something planned already). 

The first video released would be one with Francisco. I still need to edit it, but it would be some black pumps that you haven't seen in the channel. So wait for it and let me know what you think of them. The week after, I'll be publishing a compilation and on Sunday 18th, I'll be having a live stream + chat to celebrate the 2nd anniversary. I'll post more details later here, on Youtube and on Instagram. 

The unedited videos publish this month will be the first 3 I ever filmed for the channel. Back then, I had no experience in filming, so I moved the camera a lot and had so many cuts in the final version. Now, I try to have longer shots and keep as much of the original video as I can. 

Regarding the handwritten letters, they're still in process. I'm so sorry I haven't sent them, but I wanted to make sure to write a proper nice letter and not something written in a rush. So, thanks for your patience, as soon as I get a hint of inspiration again, I'll finish them. 

Andrea, a friend of mine & photographer, took some beautiful pictures for the channel that I'll be posting here first. I would love to hear your comments and thoughts.
