Dear Shiny Patrons,

As I mentioned in one of the last posts, at the end of 2023 I had the chance to travel outside of Mexico.

The 1st country I visited was the USA 🇺🇸 where I filmed a video with NYC Chris Shoe Shine.

The 2nd country was... Japan! 🇯🇵 

I went there with no plans and only my Chelsea boots. I was not planning on traveling there but things happened and I found myself in the beautiful city of Tokyo. 

Before traveling there, I knew there were some shoe shiners in Japan since I had seen some videos on YouTube. However, I was not expecting to find a great culture for shining your shoes. I was so surprised to see many people wearing leather shoes and dressing so formally.

I googled "Shoe Shiners" and I found this beautiful store. I thought it was an interesting concept, to get a shoe shine while you have a drink, so innovative! 

So I learned a few phrases in Japanese and walked there. Luckily for me, the shoe shiner spoke English and we managed to communicate and film a video and interview. I took my shoes off and put on some sleepers they provided, sat at the bar, and got a beer. While I was drinking it, Koya started shining the shoes. 

I still need to see how I'm going to edit the video (because there's some music in the background) but I hope you all like it.
