I'm not sure I've ever literally made the sounds associated with "pft, hahaha" out loud until I saw that last panel, but at the very least its been a while. Also not sure if that was really Bernice's last ditch effort or Bibi's first act as a ditz (or a combination of the two), but either way I applaud the humor. Bravo. Not gonna say what I hope happens to Bernice or Byland, but I hope the book ends up in the ocean a la OG Jumanji, if for no other reason than as a potential setup for a Brightshore 2 somewhere down the line.
