I’ll probably say it again, that feels it immensely underwhelming and seemingly out of nowhere that it turned out that The Book didn’t fully mentally changed Bernice, but this is probably what Kobi meant by saying that unless something crazy occurs back in the WIP of Chapter 6’s cover. But, maybe there’s still hope that this is just the Good Ending to explain everything that needs an answer to and save everything, and that there’s secretly an Alternate Bad Ending underway after this, where the Full on everyone gets Bimboified and the Book Wins Ending does happen, because it sure feels a lot like being put on a hollow amount of edge with Byland finally being changed, only for that to turn out to not be the case after all. Although, this feel like such a nice full circle moment to go from Byland telling the Book to not to call Bernice a Bimbo at the end of Chapter 5, to the near halfway point of Chapter 6, and having Bernice telling the Book to not to call Byland a Bimbo, and given what week this is where the last page of Chapter 5 should be dropping on DeviantArt, it only makes sense, in a funny way, of course. But given that there’s still no telling if soaking the Book like this will simply reverse the mental changes, or undo the body modifications, or just even reverting everything altogether, and in any case, tune in next week for more Brightshore.

OH EM GEE! Not only did Bernice broke free from the books mental conditioning spell, it immediately went full Samuel L. Jackson on him XD kinda like "I had it with this Floating Talking Book, on this OW! Dis high heels are killing my Foot!" HEHEE :)

Although, if anything, there’s also wondering if it really was an act of true love of seeing Byland getting changed into becoming a ditzy doll like her that even broke her own out of her mental stasis, otherwise, it would seem pretty embarrassing for The Book to even outright lie about something like that, especially after it even admitted that it never forgets about that special last part to Barbie, only for that to not even be the case right now.

I was expecting total failure, but it appears that Bernice is every bit as strong as Byland knows she is, and I like that.
