Wizarding System
Name: Your name, obviously.
Level: Every level, you gain 5 stat points that you can distribute as you wish, 1 skill point, and 1 class point.
Stats:
Magical Power: A measure of how much magic that you are able to bring to bear. There is no magic core in Harry Potter, it's just "your magic". Your power is not a pool of energy that gets used up and refilled. Can split power to cast and maintain multiple spells at once, depending on your focus and control. The first number denotes total power you can channel at once, following numbers in brackets denote how much power is being used currently. Separate brackets means different uses.
Magical Control: A measure of how precisely you can control your magic and how effective you are at your spells. Greater Control will lower somewhat the Spells requirements to cast it.
Magical Focus: A measure of a combination of mental and magical concentration on the spell.
Classes: You can have as many classes as you want at a time, add the class points to one of your classes to increase the class's level. Every 5 levels in a class you gain a perk, knowledge, and new skills available that are related to the chosen class.
Classes available: Potions, Transfiguration, Charms, Curses, Dueling, Herbology, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Astronomy, Divination, Magizoology, Mind Arts,
Alchemy, Locked behind 10 Levels in Transfiguration and Potions.
Rituals, Locked behind 5 Levels in Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, and Astronomy.
Demonology, Locked.
Cosmology, Locked.
Skills: When you have skill points you can purchase a skill or spell, every skill has 5 levels. What skills you have available to you is dependent on class, level, perks, or experiences. Every level costs one more than the last. (1, then 2, then 3, etc.) to get the maxed skill needs a total of 15 points. Every skill level increases efficiency and effectiveness, and a perk to the skill. Skills and spells can still be performed without the skill. But with the skill, you gain perks and effectiveness.
Example.) Wingardium Leviosa. Charm. Level One, halves the power and control required. Level Two, Can point cast. Can control the velocity and direction of travel. Level Three, Can cast Silently. Can also levitate multiple targets at once. Level Four, Can cast wand-lessly. Once casted, requires no mental focus to maintain it, though it still uses your magical power. Level Five, there is no upper limit to weight you can levitate, it all depends on the amount of magic you put into it.
Perks: These can be from Class, Rituals, family magic, and so on.
Ex.) Black Family Magic. All Curses are twice as effective. You can enter Black Family sites and not be impeded/maimed by the wards.
Ex.) Duelist. Every spell successfully chained, lowers the control and focus required for the next spell.
Ex.) Animagus. Gain the senses and strengths of your animal form even in your human form. [Transfiguration Level 10+ Only: can do partial transformations between your animal form at will. (Right to bear arms, lol)]
Ex.) Parselmouth. You are able to speak the noble tongue of serpents. As a Speaker, you command the admiration and respect of all serpents to, magical or otherwise. They will do your bidding gladly without a familiar bond. [Magizoology Level 10+ only. Any serpent familiar is twice as powerful.]
