This is the first version of the KB3D Air-System. Designed so you can connect multiple attachments to a single gasmask. With the integrated valves, you can turn on or off each of the connections.

Comes in a 3 valve or a 2 valve design.

The device itself, has a connection at either end, which is not controlled by a valve (depending on your use case, you may want to block of the ends). Then in between those two connections you have 2 or 3 valve controlled ports.

To assemble push the valves into the main body. Push on the lids so the clip into place. then attach the handles. The connectors are added on via the same mechanism as all the other rubber bunker based connectors - Long insert with the male, and short insert with female. once you have placed the insert, a bit of the insert will stick out of the connector, this needs to be pushed into the main body. If you find the connectors are constantly pulled out, apply glue to the insert, ensuring you do not stop the connector turning.

Another tip I have discovered. On my printers if the valves are really tight against the main body, before inserting the valves, I often flame with a blow torch the inside of the main body, so that the plastic softens a little. Then I push the valve in. This has improved the seal of the valves as well.

UPDATE

19/12/2025 - Updated 2 valve to now be compatible with the AirSystem Claws

30/06/2026- Updated to fix potential splitting along layer lines.

So I find these fairly simple to print. What’s important is you don’t get any supports inside the round cylinder which is where the valve goes. So I have that facing up. You need a little supports on the back. But not to major.

JSL

What I am thinking is 4 - 5 valve setup. Could these versions to be made too?

JSL

can you post a slicer image where the supports? or just setting "supports on plate only"

KB3D

the reason for 2-3 valve set up was due to the limitations of the print bed. I could probably scale it up, if that would be useful to you?

JSL

I wonder if the A2L would handle the 4 valve system. Thou one can stack these things but might not look well.

JSL

Also wonder if this would like 6 valve system... glue or something the 2 and 3 valve things together, gets complicated... or maybe individual parts... one center piece, then parts to add... so it looks kinda ok.

JSL

Do you use any rubber/silicone seals here? I would think the inserts would need to slightly longer (the thickness of the seal).

JSL

All the parts finally printed today. The male inserts, at the end, left and right... tight as hell. pushed forcefully in was not a good idea... fractured from the layers lines... should not have printed fully horizontal. When loading file this came vertical. would be stronger for those parts.... wonder if printing slightly smaller the insert and then glue the part in... if you have any advice...

KB3D

Hey I would like to see the break. The airsystem body fractured? If that is the case, you are not the first. I have almost finished an improved body to hopefully prevent that happening. Which I can upload tonight.

I feel like a simple coupler would solve this. Print 2 x 3 and a coupler?

Also printed al the parts, but seems i've only lost lots of time and material since nothing fits... Seems that only the original RB files print good.

KB3D

Would be curious to know which bits don’t fit. And which printer you use. All the items which are here, are items I print routinely with my printers. It’s the same items I sell.

RubandSneaX

i print with a Creality K1C. I've printed a few things from here (RB files) With succes, but the valve and e stop don't work at all. The tollerances of the fit seems off. Parts get stuck instanly while trying to insert them

KB3D

Interesting. What do you mean by E stop? My recommendation would be to scale down the valve unit slightly. It’s amazing how different these printers tolerances are. I designed them for me
