Hi All,

I have been working recently on the next generation of KB3D cage. The main change is the removal of the "tongue" which goes under the ring. I find the tongues uncomfortable.

What's your opinion on it?

Agreed, the tongue tends to cause pinching for me. Glad I’m not the only one who is not a fan of the tongue.

Stitchless

Anything to reduce the profile when wearing it in public. I don’t mind there being a little sign that I’m wearing one just not so pronounced.

2026-10-18 14:00 I may be in the minority but, as a turtle, I quite enjoy the tongue. In fact it was the difference in your design that drew my attention. I've considered reaching out for custom work to get a slightly longer/more broader version.

🥵 I'm very keen. I liked the idea of the tongue, didn't have too good of a time with the tongue on my HTv4 but it was a clone after all...

You will be pleased to know, I have not removed the tongue. It is drastically different to the HTv4 and to the KB3D V4. Update coming shortly with some images :) Just working on the rings at the moment, will be sharing prototype files soon.
