Interesting thing I never noticed before, Since this Vilgax wasn't severely injured in the space fight this is the same form he had last time Max fought him, He wasn't as roided out as he was when Ben fought him (his arms in particular, when ben fought him he had these black cylinders that popped out and back in which increased his strength during their fight)

This is a personal theory but im almost certain this wa paradox messing with/running an experiment on ben

In season 1, Viltrex got super injured in the space fight and spent the entire time healing in a tube before fighting Ben. In this episode, he's fine after the space fight and goes right down after the omnitrix.

Oh you guys are gonna LOVE Alien Force based on your chat at the end. The original series definitely has arcs but it’s more episodic. The sequels debut overarching arcs and (imo) turn the show to something so much more.

Yeah this episode was basically a what if filler episode. There are a few episodes like this throughout the series.

It wasn't a time skip forward, its just that in this universe Vilgax wasn't hurt during the battle at the start, so Gwen had to deal with him earlier than Ben did. Also whenever there are comic panels it means this is a What IF story.
