Remember back in Lion's first episode. Pearl asked "Are we really going to let him keep that thing?" Garnet's response was, "We kept Amythest." And it was played for a joke! Bro, the amount of foreshadowing is this show is insane. There's foreshadowing for everyone.

This was probably the craziest batch of episodes from this season. There's still a lot of questions that will be answered in the remaining 12 episodes but even more that will be left unanswered for multiple seasons to come. All I know is there's gonna be some crazy big reveals and character moments for these next 3 weeks

Watching the boys theorize about the purpose of gems and the function of the kindergarten feels soooooo good ^_^ It's like traveling back and time and reading steven universe theories on tumblr lol

This was such a good episode, especially for amethyst. You really start to see the flaws in some of the characters in the show from here on out especially pearl and amethyst. They’re very flawed characters, but so compelling also, the fact the amethyst is from earth is kind of an indicator of how much she knows. She’s honestly not much above Steven level at all

Now that you were introduced to the Kindergarten and.... Essentially... how all Gems are made... i just want to throw out there the possibility that the reason Homeworld Gems are doing this in other planets it's with the purpose of self-perpetuating their species. We know that Gems are inmortal in the sense that they don't age at all but like you already saw before with Amethyst herself... Their actual gems can crack rather easily and that kind of damage CAN kill them. Also... Pearl still calling the Kindergarten "A Mess" in her apology is appropriate because it's true, from their perspective (in the ideological sense) what happened in that place was a bad thing... Both Pearl and Amethyst are in the same page in that regard.

Yeah. There are many times were beautiful things come out of terrible circumstances. It doesn't make the circumstances any better. The point they were trying to make here is that the circumstances around Amethyst's creation do not reflect on her. Amethyst was taking on the horror of the kindergarten as a reflection of herself when the two things, while linked for sure, but not a reflection on her own identity. The awful actions of Amethyst's predecessors are not her responsibility nor her fault. The sins of the fathers' shouldn't reflect on the son type of thing.

The pearl amethyst conflict isn't one sided, they both but heads with each other. Pearl is constantly getting on amethysts case a d amethyst keeps fucking with pearl. Amethyst aint no saint either. They both got their own personal issues and they end up taking them out on each other.

Also the foreshadowing in "Keep Beach City Weird" with Ronaldo's last line in the episode. In the episode it's just another crazy conspiracy theory, but if you tell someone it's a spoiler or to remember it, it becomes a spoiler.

Amethyst is just as flawed as the rest of the Crystal Gems but they haven't had a lot of chances to see that yet cause up till this point it's just been childishness but in the next batch of episodes they'll get a chance to see Amy genuinely be in the wrong so it will be interesting to see how their opinions change

So for added "This is messed up" factor, those machines in the Kindergarten are modeled on bactriophages. Viruses that latch onto other cells and inject their DNA into it to take over said cell and make it use it's resources to replicate more of the virus. Also, keep in mind the literal meaning of the word "Kindergarten" is "Child Garden" Oh and for just more disturbing trivia, that bit with "this is my hole! It's shaped like me!" and Amethyst sliding into said hole, plus the overall look of all those roughly human shaped holes lining the walls was a reference to the Junji Ito story The Enigma of Amigara Fault

Then you have the reveal of Future Vision explaining why Garnet was so damn good at Meat Beat Mania, and got trapped in that loop of playing the game. Not to mention the numerous times the other two wanted to know something about what was going on and they immediately ask Garnet, who nearly always pauses to shift her glasses a bit before answering.

I so enjoy watching and hearing your theories as the show goes on. It really takes me back to when I first started watching and seeing all the theories going around the internet. I'll admit, with the exception of the Season Finale, On The Run is the Season 1 Episode I've been MOST hyped for your reactions to, and it hasn't disappointed. Yay! Pearl having a bad delivery on her apology is pretty understandable to me you can tell she’s trying but she doesn’t have the words to describe her feelings. It’s a complicated situation since it was a bad thing that happened even if something good came out of it.

I´ve been really looking forward to steven day, it´s so good seeing other people having theories and talking about it while experiencing this for the first time. When I was a kid I was really "parented" by this cartoon. I lot of the episodes from now one talk about more emotional heavy stuff, and I believe it helped a lot of children like myself, who where having problems at home or with the family.

I'm super hyped for y'all to reach the next few seasons, honestly I can barely remember season 1 with what crazy shit happens in the others -- Steven Universe is certainly one of the absolute most well-crafted and planned-through shows I've ever watched. it was never supposed to be up for debate whether the kindergarten was bad or not, it is an objectively bad thing. pearl was not wrong about that, and it's something that amethyst also agrees with and knows, which is why its the source of her insecurity. the end of the episode was pearl reminding her that her origin doesn't matter or define her

I love their relationship, it reminds me so much of me and my brother as kids always butting heads and getting on each others nerves. i was always like pearl getting on his case over everything and he was 100% like amethyst just always doing something to mess with me and make me mad.
