YESSS this has to be my favorite episode of season 1 (besides the finale* of course)

Obsidianfox

would love to see yall react to the new matrix movie. and definetly John Whick if yall haven't seen those yet!

KaitouLuminous

I can't wait to see you're predictions about Aang's fire & eath bending teachers what they'll be like. since Aaang does need to learn all the elemts so he needs 3 teachers Water, Earth, & Fire

Seraphem

Yeah Sokka is great, and the fun thing is how he got to be that damn fun a character. If you notice at the start Sokka was a lot more serious, which was the plan at first, him being the calm, serious one of the group, but the VA just had so much fun energy to him and a habit of adlibbing in jokes that they quickly realized how well that take worked and wrote Sokka as the goof he is now.

Obsidianfox

it's honestly one of the best action franchises in a LONG time besides James bond

Miles Porter

I really want them to react to a show called Xiaolin Showdown, Seeing how they love ATLA so much

DementisXYZ

Meng's VA, Jessie Flower (yes, I know it was an alias back then), is great, and be hyped, because it's very much not the last time you'll hear from her.

pollyy clunes

one of my favorite notes about this episode is how aang and katara bend the clouds. all the way back in episode 7 (i believe) sokka says katara should jump in the clouds, aang does and say’s “i guess clouds are made of water”. and then in this episode aang has the idea to bend the clouds because he knows its made of air and water. its just written so GOOD—

Obsidianfox

oh! also another fun fact the bending styles are actually made from different martial art styles! there is a video released by the creators that breaks it down. would love to see yall react to that! edit: but after you complete Book 3 there are spoilers in the video

The "Floozy" comment is so underrated. Glad to see the salt tickled you guys as much as it does me. Every. Single. Time.

Domi

I call the next two episodes "Aang's fuck-up episodes" because he makes poor choices. So far you've all been waaay more understanding of his character than most reactors and I hope yall continue to recognize his abandonment issues and playful nature.

you know people today are still questioning whether Aunt Wu actually had the gift or not?

Kelsey Roberts

I hate the "opposites attract" justification for shipping because it lets a lot of toxicity slip through as something "romantic." If you can find another reason to ship them, go ahead. But "just because they are opposites" isn't enough for me.

Cyan

This is my fav comfort episode of season 1. Love yalls reactions to this series. I really feel like I'm watching it for the first time again because you guys are just as into it as I used to be growing up

Ana Mony

as a kid I actually didn't like this episode but the animation still looks so good and re-watching with u its reallyfunny. for me "the great divide" its so much better 😅

Cloud Kitsune

Never been a fan of Zuko and Katara as a ship, though I might be a bit biased as I preferred Zuko and Sokka's relationship--but it doesn't really get showcased until later. XD Plus, Katara and Aang were always too sweet in my opinion, it was hard to ship them with anyone else.

William Timmins

It seems like a fluff episode, but it's actually meaningful in a number of ways. Among other things, 'you have the power to shape your own destiny' is a powerful line.

Sorta Stupid

It's really not that deep when I'm talking about the opposites of fire and water. I'm more joking about the elemental effects neutralizing each other. But I know not to joke about that now, thanks.

Kelsey Roberts

You can say that it’s “not that deep” to you, which is valid and correct. But communication is a two-way street. Your listeners (me included) may have an entirely different reaction which is still valid and correct. Try to think about it from an outside perspective.

Honey

I'm honestly so excited for the next multiple weeks of these. Especially once you get into season 2. I'm so hyped to see your reactions when my favorite character is introduced!

Fedei

A bit late but yes the Zuko and Katara ship is pretty cool, just like you, I like their opposite sides among other things but as the show goes on I hope u guys have fun with it. Love the reactions keep em coming.

Baron Salt

Aunt wu genuinely seems legit. Her predictions aren't wrong g and usually are too specific to be the vague, falsehood as most other shows.

Shay-Thelogicaldreamer

Honestly, Zutara makes a lot of sense for more than the fire/water element but also just for their story arcs in general.

Lenja

The original idea was actually Zutara. But they listened to the viewer and that was a different ship (back then at least).

apple jacked

Self-fulfilling prophecies get them all the time though. That could technically be what is happening to Sokka. The crops would be good that year due to the volcanic ash fertilizing the soil, and of course the village was saved!
