Very important

Hello everyone, I’m here to confirm that the new update will indeed be available for download on Monday. I have practically finished doing the tests, and there are only a few small things left to fix before releasing it. But that’s not the only reason why I made this poll.

As you know, I decided to restart the game because, at the point where it was, it had become unsustainable to continue the quests because of the mess I had created — my first game, what can I say? — many character quests influence each other, and some characters require you to complete another character’s quests before you can continue theirs. The way it was set up made it impossible to maintain because many times, to continue a quest for one character, you had to do quests from another character that hadn’t even started yet. This created a continuity problem that made it impossible to continue the game that way. That’s why I decided to remake it, this time in a more organized way, and that’s what I have been doing until now.

The way I’m organizing the quests has made the game much more organized, to the point where it became obvious how poorly distributed the quests were. For example, Brandi’s, Alli’s, and Kimmy’s quests are already finished, but Amanda’s (Lena Paul), Jillian’s (Jill Kassidy), Jessica’s (Lexi Belle), the Chemistry teacher’s (Ivy Lebelle), and others have barely started. If you played the old version, you probably remember that at one point the Chemistry teacher’s quests crossed with Amanda’s, and by then the protagonist was already dating her. Now, in the fourth week of the game (almost a month in), the Chemistry teacher’s quests would begin and soon lead into the quest where Amanda appears, but the protagonist’s relationship with Amanda hasn’t even started yet in the “current timeline.” This is just one example of something that is already present in the game, but I have plans for many more quests from other characters to cross over.

That’s why, from now on, I need to make a very important decision to continue the development of the game, and I want your help. As I said, the quests for Brandi, Alli, Kimmy, and other characters such as the History teacher (Diana Prince), the Philosophy teacher, and the Sociology teacher (Nicole Aniston) — I included all of their quests in the update coming on Monday — are already finished, meaning the content I originally created. But the stories of these characters are not exactly over. I still have many plans for them, but I am stuck with the objective of bringing back all the old quests into the game… or am I really?

That’s why I need your opinion. Should I continue these characters’ quests while I bring back the old quests, or is it better for me to focus on adding ALL the old quests first and only then create new ones?

I have been asking myself this for months because I don’t know what is the best option. I wanted version 0.1 to be released once I had finished adding all the quests, but today I realize how time-consuming that is and how disorganized the game actually was. That’s why I’m coming to you to try to find an answer.

If I decide to make new quests while adding the old ones, we will have some advantages. The first and most obvious is that you will finally have new stories to enjoy; the game would continue being developed from this point forward, and the stories would progress together. But a negative consequence is that it will probably take much longer for all the old quests to return to the game.

On the other hand, if I continue adding only the old quests, I will finish that faster, but there will probably be some changes to the original quests so they can work in the new timeline… — thinking about it now, maybe even with the other option many quests will have similar changes to the ones made in Brandi’s latest quests.

Anyway, sorry for the huge wall of text, but I really need your opinion. Should I continue the game by making new quests while bringing back the old ones, or should I continue adding only the old quests and only after that continue the characters’ stories?

O1. Add new quests while bringing back the old ones (Continue developing new stories alongside the old content. You’ll get new content sooner, but it may take longer for all the old quests to return.)

O2. Continue adding the old quests first (Finish bringing back all the original content before creating new stories. The game will progress faster, but new content will take longer to arrive.)

03. I trust your decision — do what you think is best (I’m okay with any direction as long as development continues.)

That’s a tough decision; I think the best approach is a balanced mix of adding old quests and new ones. Perhaps a good compromise would be to hold a poll beforehand to decide which characters the next updates should focus on, since some characters are more popular than others and everyone has their own favorites. Personally, for instance, I’d love to see more quests involving the Babydolls added; I’d also like the beach quests with Jill Cassidy to return, and I’d finally like the chance to interact with Riley and Melissa, as that hasn't been possible so far.
