Thursday Word #83 (Patreon)

Hello everyone, as we are in the release week of version 0.0.9 of High School Days I'm taking a break, but the work will continue next week. As I said last year the v0.1.0 update will have less quests as I will be focused on updating the game's features and doing other things, here is a list of some things I plan to do for the v0.1.0 update.

1. Use locations that are currently empty. There are many in-game locations that have nothing there, or are literally closed, however, for v0.1.0 I plan to do something cool in MOST of these locations that are now empty.

2. Placing characters that should already be placed. There are some characters that should already be in the game, but aren't, because I didn't have time to put them in, but now I intend to finally introduce them to the game, like the school's Librarian, who has already been mentioned, but never appeared; or Kevin's aunt who is always mentioned but still nothing from her (stay tuned as there will be character polls coming up).

3. Improve interaction with characters. I intend to put more dialogues with the characters and create new interaction mechanics.

4. More random events. I intend to do random events everywhere in the game, not just at home, but this is possibly what would take the most work, so in the v0.1.0 update it would just be a start for that.

5. Lessons. In-game lessons are extremely important, and so I intend to make more class options and be able to interact with students within some lessons (I still don't know how that would work, but I'll think of something).

6. Translation into Portuguese. In case you don't know, I speak Portuguese, and I make the game first in Portuguese, then translate it into English, lately I get requests to put a Portuguese translation in the game (since I make it in Portuguese and then translate it, the only thing What would change is that I would not delete the original version). So for v0.1.0 I intend to make an INITIAL Portuguese version (since there is already a lot written, and translating EVERYTHING into Portuguese now would take a long time).

7. Quests. Just because quests won't be the focus this time doesn't mean there won't be new quests. I decided to continue the quests for the protagonist's two friends (Adam and Kevin) and do the quests for the Sociology Teacher (Nicole Aniston), who was in limbo for a long time (I had no idea what to do with her). But now I'll show you what she came for!

And that's it folks, these are some of the things I intend to do in v0.1.0, of course I'll possibly do even more things but only time will tell.
