One of my most anticipated episodes for you to react to. Can’t wait to watch The sad truth about the funny bits with Anettes out of age group partners could be that no one her age wants to be with her because she used to be friends with a 86 and that’s still sticking with her till this day

Annette is one of my favorite characters for sure, the level of respect the author has to have for the audience’s intelligence to write someone like that? Someone with completely abhorrent, yet understandable and nuanced beliefs? And never overdoing it either. Fuckin round of applause to Asato. The discussions y’all have are so funny, they always just start like “well I’m an idiot for thinking this last time” 😂 I love it when a story isn’t afraid to outsmart you, while at the same time never throwing bullshit plot points at you out of nowhere. It just keeps peaking, y’all aren’t ready…

So it's book spoilers, but there's an additional layer to the scene when Rei chokes Shin, that hasn't come up in the anime, but might if it ever actually gets picked up for another season.

Ho ho ho, and here we are! Lena's Darkest Hour. Now that she's revealed her deeper feelings, it's worth looking back at everything we've gotten about Annette so far. Remember her many suitors? And that her coworkers, not she herself, put up that list of photos? It seems the bullying never stopped - her peers continue to treat her as 'tainted' by her past association with her 'colored' neighbors - and the only people willing to court her and her family's money are the old and desperate or those too young to have known her history. I love the observation she makes that she thinks her father was looking to her for strength to defy the social order and take in their neighbors to shelter them, and that she gave him an out to be a coward. Annette's story is a phenomenal study in how a populace sinks to the point of committing a genocide.

Govts will always choose to save face over what is right. Every time. Without exception. They believe they are essential so their continued existence justifies any means.

Jerome’s line about the republic being full of fools and villains hits me every time. Because deep down I believe he really cares about their country and hates what’s it’s become. But to him, they aren’t even worth saving anymore.

This is the "use Lena as a punching bag" episode. One hell of a one. Annette is an amazing well writen character. She's not bad, but she's consumed by the guilt and her negation is a defense mechanism for the things she do in the past. Love Anna's face in the end of the reaction...HA HA HA. Love the OST so much.

The after credits scene of the last episode was a different unit. It was "Falkes" Squadron from combat district 16. Spearhead is combat district 1.
