Recalling back to my college days: V = 8000 m/s A = speed of sound = sqrt(γ * R * T), where: γ = ratio of specific heats for air ≈ 1.40 R = specific gas constant of air = 287 J/(kg*K) T = temperature of air = 273.15 K A = sqrt(1.40 * 287 * 273.15) ≈ 331 m/s M = Mach number = V/A = 8000/331 ≈ 24.2

24:30 to put it simply, at this point they all more or less believe Lena is probably dead now that the Republic is done for. Like Kurena said, Lena wouldn't run. And they also believe bringing this up would affect Shin the most.

35:40 I don't know about that. I think it would be pretty hard for any average person to understand what the 86 are about without, you know, witnessing part of the story like the viewers do. Here they are willingly going back to the hell they escaped from. They're clearly not normal. Naturally, some people will think there's something's wrong with them (and lets be real, there is, but it's not their fault), and that's scary to them.

Amazing reaction, guys! I was almost in tears during this episode. Shin’s mental health is deteriorating so quick and so fast, and rewatching this hits harder as a LN reader. Thank you for the discussions! Your channel truly brings a smile to my face and I am so proud in how far you guys have grown as content creators!

Toshimasa Ishii flexing his directorial muscles as usual. The shot of Shin behind the rain soaked window that resembles as he was crying is cheff kiss.
