Due to a hurricane, Anna's flight back home had been cancelled and she ended up staying in Europe longer than expected. She is home now! We are catching up right now so expect some more posts tomorrow!

While maybe one of the worse monogatari arcs which is still pretty high mark overall, just thinking about what it enables and laying stepping stones for in hindsight makes it pretty great in my eyes

then why does every other reaction patreon I have ever been on do not behave like this? where they ignore there community and dont even update us for days giving everyone anxiety about what might be wrong. are you just dismissing the emotions of dozens of patrons in here? many people were geniunely sad and anxious thinking that something bad mightve happened.

@DrWomanRespecter It makes literally zero sense to not update us for a week when something so innocuous and innocent was the cause. It would've taken Ben or Anna 15 seconds to type out that message and hit "Post". Saving hundreds of people from the anxiety that came with there sudden dissapereance.

the intrumental versions of the ops are great, as with the whole ost, also love how there're many different renditions of a single op, renai in particular one time's a sentimental music box, other times upbeat or serene melodies, my fav tho gotta be the dying bird track at the start of the last nise ep along with shinobu's narration, like you said, they elevate the emotions in the scenes so much, beautiful touch.

fr, first time around ig i was let down that nadeko was barely explored compared to all the other characters in their arcs, even hanekawa who didn't get hers yet was very fleshed out in comparison, but after knowing what sort of person she was deep down later on, it kinda makes sense narratively, even if she was given more time with araragi and kanbaru, it wouldn't have amounted to much, being as closed off as she is.

Personally I understand the reason for the delay and is nice to hear that they are ok but wanting a simple and short update it's not unreasonable to ask for. Some people are kinda mad because this is a recurring thing. Should them just stay quiet and not say anything about the lack of updates just because they posted videos like nothing happened? ok then...

Sorry, but don't know what MTBB is. Will that be in air date or light novel order? Only real difference between them though is where kizu is, as the movie kept getting delayed when it was originally supposed to come out after bake.

I agree. I didn't really get anxious at all cause I knew they were fine cause they disapear like this all the time. Read all the other comments though on that one upload, dozens and dozens of people expressing there worry and anxiety.

I have to say, I love this series the most of all and it came about because I started learning Japanese. When you actually speak Japanese, the puns and jokes in this series are way better.

Who would interact with a community that talks to them and about them like what was in the last episode’s comment section anymore than necessary? Everyone here signed up to give them some cash to help make the channel more viable long term. We didn’t sign an agreement to get x amount of engagement or videos each week. We are contributing to people making content we enjoy. If you feel ill used because they didn’t tell us about a health issue or travel issue until after the real life problem was resolved and they had a rest, you should probably rethink your subscription as you appear to be operating under a misunderstanding of what you are paying for. Could someone have said something sooner? Sure, but that isn’t something anyone here is owed. We get whatever the tier you are paying for is promised and that is what we have all been provided. If people are in a financial state where their sub is a source of emotional hardship if a video isn’t released right on time, they should not be subscribing. This isn’t intended to be something people throw money that they otherwise need at. Similarly people who no longer feel it is a good value proposition should leave also, not because they are right or wrong but because that would be the rational thing to do and best for their own sanity. I increased my tier after the last episode and am perfectly happy to leave it there because I want to follow along with the full reactions while streaming the episodes. Last episode was a great watch given their reactions to what happened at the shrine and the music and the rest of it. The comments last episode though were just toxic with entitled whining and angry people mad they aren’t uploading at the expected cadence. Nobody truly concerned for another person someone would keep going like that chat did. People concerned for someone would leave well wishes and let the other party deal with whatever is going down in their life that is interfering with this side project to their real life instead of harping away at the lack of an update. It showed an unhinged lack of basic empathy and a sense of entitlement way out of proportion to anything anyone has done to be in this Patreon audience. It was disgusting to see.

@Joshua Ford Okay... So, I did see the comment section you are talking about and I agree that some of the comments were indeed toxic and rude. I don't support that and I firmly oppose online harassment, that's why I have been very careful with my wording and that is also why your comment, that put mine on the same level, really irritate me. Sure, online harassment is bad, but can't you see the difference between that and good faith criticism? Regarding what you say about Patreon and entitlment, I don't consider myself a "customer" and I agree that, to some extent, I can just unsubscribe if I'm unsatisfied. But that doesn't mean they have no responsibility in the way they handle their business. First of all, they are the one who announced a schedule, at which point, even if I wasn't paying anything, I would have the expectation that they try to follow it. Nobody forced them to do that, I would have been okay without it, but they decided to create this expectation. At this point, they were making a promise to the people who were paying that they would deliver something and they didn't. I don't think that's a terrible crime, but you can't say they did nothing wrong there. But as I already said, I don't really care about them being late. The issue is with the lack of communication. Even if we assume we are not owed ANYTHING, disappearing for a week without any update is unacceptable in any social situation, even between friends. And while I agree that it's not super important and that I wasn't losing sleep over this, it's still something that should be addressed, if only because the climate of annyance and toxicity you complain about directly commes from that. If, 4 days ago, they had posted a short message simply saying "Hey, Anna is stuck in Europe, we won't be able to upload for a few days." you wouldn't have seen anyone complain. So, even if according to you the issue comes from people being annoyed, it is something they could and should address. Only blaming the comments doesn't solve the issue, it doesn't help anyone. I'm not angry at Anna and Ben, I don't wish them any ill, but I noticed an issue in the way they handle their business and I would like to warn them about it. As long as I do it politely and without harassment, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. And if you disagree with that statement, honestly, I don't care.
