Rewatching the sub version with you guys, convinces me, in that kind of episode, that the english dubbed version is really amazing.

Dub rules. The performances in Japanese are also excellent but the English dub has some of my favorite line drops in all of anime. Like … every line of Bradley’s, [Spoiler Waifu’s], and Hoenheim’s 😅 But their watch through is definitely giving me a new appreciation for the sub!

"Universally considered better" by who lmao? FMA:B has one of the very few decent EN dubs on the market and now it's "better" than the original? 70% of it is still emotionless, repetitive and full of overindulgent translations just like most dub. At any rate, if we're going anecdotal by "what I heard", my reply got 4 times the likes yours did, hinting at the fact that people might not universally believe that to be true.

FMAB is considered to have possibly the best dub of any anime ever made, and just because you got more likes in a very small sample size doesn't mean that the majority of FMAB fans agree with you. This channel is literally only one of two communities that I've heard say the sub is better. Compared to the countless other people that have said say that the dub is better. I've seen this show subbed and dubbed many times, and the dub voice actors do a significantly better job than the sub voice actors. The dub also does a better job of explaining the science of alchemy and the story. The dub of this show literally has some of the most iconic quotes in anime history. If you want to take a small sample size as fact, you have every right to do that, but don't drag the rest of us into your delusions.

You’re wasting your time arguing with them. They’ll probably just link you with some Reddit, or 4chan post, or some similar website I'm not aware of to “prove” that the majority of FMA fans think the dub is better. Since when did the English FMA community represent all FMA fans around the globe? You guys are literally the minority, numbers-wise. I believe most non-English listeners either watch in their own dub or the original (aka Japanese). Personally, I think people are entitled to their own opinion, but these people really like to use a small sample size or personal experience to represent the entire fanbase and act like it is an objective fact. They are just as bad as the actual weeaboo.

@loftypenalty91 Calling me delusional now? When you are the one coming here with an unfalsifiable extreme statement like: "the dub of this show is far superior to the sub."? Give me a break, you aren't even bright enough to figure out the point I was making by mentioning the amount of likes I had despite **stating it** clearly in plain text. And besides, the argument is about quality not popularity, you have every right to think the dub is better, but saying it's objectively so is a crazy take. Opinions and taste aren't facts no matter how many people think the same way you do.

I like the dub well enough - especially Travis Willingham performance - but saying it's obviously better than the sub is kind of insane. (but hey, since it's apparently happened only a handful of times to you, here's another one for the pile: in my personal opinion, I think FMA's sub is better than the dub)
