To answer the order question in the discussion: you’re watching the novel release order (i.e. the author’s intended order) the only difference between this and the anime release order is that Kizumonogatari was released much later than intended due to production of the films vs tv anime

They don't read the comments. When the series won the poll the watch order to use was chosen according to a different poll but I can't remember which one won. I think the Crunchyroll order was the one due to a misunderstanding lol

from what i understand they really don't look at comments to avoid spoilers. tho personally i would hold off on dropping the name of the next arc bc the anime usual does that in the outros anyway (on the last episode of that arc)

We don't need to hash this out again do we? There's a poll when they were initially starting to watch the show that shows what order they'll be watching it. I always find it cringey... to say "the author's intended order" as if NisioisiN didn't have a hand in the choices for how the anime was released. It's disingenuous to phrase it like that. To anyone that knows the lore of 2012's airing - the series initially wanted to have Hana placed in novel order but decided to push it back because it was the best choice given the fact that they got 26 instead of 28 episodes. They could have easily pushed back Koi instead if they wanted to - season finale being Oni's last episode I'm sure would have hit hard too, having Koi as a standalone would also be pretty good. But that's not what happened because it was considered the better option. If the author thought that having Hana in it's novel placement was THAT important, I'm sure that's what they would have done.

Glad we have another telepath who can browse NisioIsin's head like a library across the continents. Nowhere has NisioIsin said that this is his "intended order." It's just the order he released them. If you knew anything about how he works, you would know he probably doesn't even actually care. Read the end notes to the books.
