Don't know if they'd ever see this but the voice actors purposely tried to sound unprofessional while singing, which was apparently harder than singing normally because all Japanese vas are trained to do anything well lol. They were directed to be like an awkward couple at a karaoke while singing which really shows in the OP.

This is the origin of the "Kaiki is the best girl" meme. Basically, all of the OPs up until now have been sung by girls who featured in the given arc. No male VA has ever been given the opportunity to sing an OP up to this point. So when this OP came out, the Internet, being the Internet, made a meme out of it, saying that Kaiki is actually a girl, because all the OPs are sung by girls. Bit of Monogatari history for you right there :)
