Mike

Best episode of the season! But honestly it's all so dang good.

William Roberts

No one ships Okarun and Momo harder than Miko and Muko.

This episode is great. I would recommend checking out the English dub of the song because they got the lead singer from DragonForce (the group who made the song "Through the Fire and Flames") to do the singing part. They really went all out with this episode. As far as a Hayashi band goes it was explained to me that it would be something akin to a church choir. So this situation would be like hiring a church choir group to come sing a hymn for a funeral but a rock band named "Church Choir" shows up instead.

Gestrid

YES!!!! IT'S TIME!!!!!!

By the way, it might be worth checking out the English dub of this episode in your own time. Or maybe even the Castilian Spanish dub. Both dubs got their OWN dubbed version of the song, and they're both EXCELLENT. The English dub of the song was sung by none other than Marc Hudson, the lead singer of DragonForce! The Castilian Spanish version was sung by Francisco Javier Cruz, a well-known Spanish singer and voice actor. As an aside, the director of the Castilian Spanish dub had to fight tooth and nail in order to get the song dubbed in their language (as opposed to just using the Japanese or English audio), so shout out to them for doing that!

Gestrid

I love that Momo's friends went to bat for her in this episode!

The song was written specifically for the show, and the Japanese and English dubs (not entirely sure about the Castilian Spanish dub) really assembled an all-star group to sing and perform the song.

Styx TV

well fuck, I'm shootin blind but I'm goin Anna is 5'6"-5'7" and Ben is 5'10"-5-11"

Stonewielder

I've never heard of Dragonforce but that's pretty cool the Spanish director went to such lengths to get the song itself dubbed, props to him.

Animeke

I was also thinking Ben is 5'11" and Anna is 5'7".

Lucas Tobin

Just in case you dont know the band but you know the song dragon force is the band that did through the fire and flames

Gabrieltabz

PLEASE CHECK THE ENGLISH DUB OF THE SONG IN THE NEXT EPISODE. IT IS SO GOOD.

Sarsen Stone

Dragonforce are mainly known for the song "Through the fire and the flames" which was the most difficult song on Guitar Hero 3. I've seen them live a number times, and they are a great power metal band

The Hayashi band style is a nod to the "Visual Kei" japanese musicians style from the 80s. In particular the song closely resembles "X Japan"'s song Kurenai, which got the producers in a bit of trouble. There was copyright lawsuit around it which caused the song to be removed from japanese streaming platforms. I think its all been wrapped up now. If you like the song, check out X Japan, and their song Kurenai

Styx TV

you and me brother, we're locked in

APieceOfCoffee

The English dubs of the song is a BANGER, but honestly I prefer watching all of Dandadan in dubs because it's just SO GOOD. The shots of the Hayashi setting up is a direct reference to Back to the Future as well!

Well the English version is sung by Marc Hudson from DragonForce, so no surprise that it's great. Kishou Taniyama (Japanese singer) still does a great job though. Fun fact; he's also the voice actor for Jean in Attack on Titan, and a bunch of other voice roles (also the official Japanese dub voice for Fred from Scooby-Doo). Oh and lead guitar for the song is Marty Friedman, former guitarist from Megadeth.

Evan Jenkins

My brother is a musician with BPD, and he says the same thing about music. He makes custom amps (yes, MAKES them) and that (plus his medicine, of course) is his way of keeping level.
